To impart knowledge and skills in biochemistry to the scientific staff working in the ICAR institutes and SAUs. The training program will be conducted in the Division of Biochemistry, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012 and the duration of the course will be fourteen (14) days from September. TA and DA will be borne by the sponsoring institute of the trainee as per ICAR rules.

Accommodation can be arranged in the guest houses within the IARI campus, subject to availability. The training schedule consists of lectures and practicals from the experts in the respective fields.

The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the country's premier institution for agricultural research, education and extension. The Division of Agricultural Economics, a component of School of Social Sciences of IARI, was established in 1960. The mandate of the Division is to conduct research in frontier areas and serve as a center for academic excellence in postgraduate education.

Since 1995, it has served as an ICAR Center for Advanced Studies in Agricultural Economics with capacity building for agricultural economics and policy research in the National Agricultural Research System. The Department for Agricultural Economics under the auspices of CAFT organizes training programs every year. So far, 31 training programs have been completed covering a wide range of topics in economics, econometrics and advances in agricultural policy research.

Faculty and researchers in Agricultural Economics/Dairy Economics/Agricultural Extension/Agricultural Statistics and related disciplines of social sciences from SAUs, ICAR Institutes and other public institutions engaged in agricultural research are eligible to apply for the training programme. ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the country's premier institute for research and higher education in agricultural science. The institute conducts basic and strategic research, serves as a center of academic excellence and provides national leadership in agricultural research and extension.

The Division of Agricultural Extension was established as a fully independent division in 1960.

It is located about 12 km west of Delhi Railway Station, about 8 km west of New Delhi Railway Station and 16 km east of IGI Airport. It is about 7 km west of Krishi Bhavan, the ICAR headquarters and next to the Rajendra Place metro station. The Division has provided leadership in diverse areas of teaching, research, training and extension to Agricultural Universities and other ICAR institutes of the country.

Therefore, considering the importance of nutritional security, this training program is basically designed to understand extension approaches and strategies in the context of nutrition sensitive agriculture with a view to establishing "Extension led nutritional security". To create an understanding of the Agri-Nutri linkages and appropriate strategies for extension-led nutritional security. Hands-on, participatory training style will be followed with a heavy emphasis on group exercises, experiential learning and case studies.

Sitaram scientist and faculty of the division, experts from ICAR, universities, NGOs and other relevant organizations will be the resource persons in the training program. The subsistence, subsistence and travel costs of the selected participants will be borne from the budget for the training program. The travel expenses are limited to a maximum of the AC-II level of the train and are based on the criterion of the participants' pay scales.

After submitting the online application, print the application and get it approved by the competent authority of your institute and upload the scanned copy of the application through the CBP portal on or before. The list of selected participants will be uploaded. displayed on the portal and will also be notified individually via e-mail.

Analytical Approaches on Doubling Farmers’ Income

Since its establishment, the Department has contributed to basic and applied research with important implications for agricultural policy. So far, 32 training programs have been conducted, covering a wide range of topics in economics, econometrics and advances in agricultural policy research. This year, between October 1 and 21, 2019, the Division will conduct a 21-day educational program on Analytical approaches to doubling farmers' incomes.

In this context, it is timely to have a training program on analytical approaches for doubling farmers' income. The training will focus on various analytical approaches to doubling farmers' income along with quantifying their impact. The candidate must have a master's degree in the relevant disciplines and must be working not below the rank of a scientist or assistant professor.

Preference will be given to candidates working in the field related to the subject of training and having basic computer knowledge. Candidates who wish to attend the course and meet the admission requirements will apply through the appropriate channel on the proforma provided. Selected candidates will be informed within one week of the last date of application via email.

If any candidate wants to travel by air (Air india only) tickets should be booked only through official website of Airindia or through authorized travel agencies of ICAR (Ashok Travels and Tour/Balmer Lawrie Tours and Travels) but TA will be limited to train the ticket mentioned above. TA will not be allowed for travel on private airlines.

In line with regional seed production priorities, the most important seed crops were selected for capacity building programs in each zone to improve the quality of seed produced as per OECD norms and make India a seed exporting country. The capacity building program will be implemented by a team of experienced national and international trainers from the public and private sectors. International trainers will be provided by the German consortium in charge of the implementation of this project (ADT Project Consulting GmbH / BDP) as international short-term experts.

In addition, some of the national trainers who are not employed by the public institutions in India may be contracted by the German consortium responsible for the implementation of this project (ADT Project Consulting GmbH / BDP) as national short-term experts. Capacity Building on Seed Production” was organized in online mode during January for the officials of the State Department of Agriculture, National Seed Corporation, State Seed Corporation, Private Seed Industry Associations (NSAI & FSII), ICAR Institutes, SAUs etc. Overview of seed production System in Germany/ EU focusing on wheat and barley iii.

After each lecture, the knowledge level of participants was assessed by means of a questionnaire based on the presentation by the resource person. The lecture sessions were followed by discussion, including Q&A session to address the questions of the participants. The training program was attended by 86 participants across the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, J & K and Uttarakhand.

Soil Testing, Plant Analysis and Water Quality Assessment

The training course is intended for anyone who works (or is likely to work) in soil testing/analytical laboratories recording soil, plant and water analysis. Interpretation of test results and formulation of recommendations and/or reports will be an essential component. Some study tours, field visits and group discussions will be an essential feature of the course.

Finally, the participants will be required to undergo a performance evaluation test, followed by discussion, before the awarding of certificates. The applications/nominations will be scrutinized and formal admission letters will be issued. The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), a. The Division of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry is one of its oldest disciplines with a high level of faculty expertise.

In fact, the soil testing service in India started in 1955-56 with the soil testing laboratory of this division as the hub to coordinate with all the other soil testing laboratories in the country. So far more than 50 short course training programs in soil testing have been successfully organized in the Division for Indian and foreign nationals. Based on the long experience in human resource development and in view of the rapidly changing scenario of soil, plant, water analysis and instrumental methods and their applications, the Division started an advanced level training program in 2004 with the desired emphasis on practical exercises and theoretical background of the subject that fits a wide range of applications.

However, the TA/DA of the admitted candidates shall be borne by their sponsoring organizations and IARI shall have no liability on this account.
