Subject: Training Programme on Data Analysis using SAS under the Consortia-based research Project
“Strengthening Statistical Computing for NARS”
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is popularizing the statistical Software SAS throughout the NARS Institutes including CAUs, SAUs, and the software would be a base for statistical analysis in the coming days. The software is having an efficient and diversified application covering plant science, animal science, forestry, social sciences, etc. It makes a compulsion for all NARS personnel to have an exposure and acquainted with the software.
As an initiative the ICAR through NAIP have launched the project on Strengthening Statistical Computing for NARS through nine selected centres in India for imparting training of NARS personnel.
Our institute, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya has been assigned to train NARS personnel located in NEH Regionl. The sixth training programme on Data Analysis Using SAS would be organized at the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region during February 12-17, 2013.
