Abstract:- “Automation of Training and Placement cell” provide web portal, design for managing training and placement data. System provides Admin login, Student login and Company login. Student can upload their educational data as well as their resume. Admin can verify each student data and any correction is done by admin. Admin can shortlist eligible student according to company criteria. It reduces manual work, paper work, and save the time. Front end of system is developed with the help of HTML & CSS. Back End will be managed with the help of PHP and MySQL database is used for database management of system.

1. INTRODUCTION

The earlier system is not computerized. It takes much time for a placement officer to collect and approve the details of students. There is poor communication between students and placement officer. The proposed system is a web based application. It helps the students to provide their profiles to the training and placement cell of the institute. Students easily get information about the companies, coming for the on campus/off campus/pool/group pool categories of campus interviews. The system remains connected with the profile databases of the various students to continuously monitor the variety of scopes available for the Students placement.

2. LITERATURE SURVEY

This paper describes the solution for problem which occurred in existing manual system.

The major problem in existing manual system is searching and updating of the student data. The proposed system provides automation in all the processes like registration, update, and searching of the student data. Also if student are eligible for company then the student can directly apply for the company by only clicking on apply button. This paper describes the two steps, the first one is to maintain the list of students and their records and other is to maintaining the company details and based on the company requirements, make the list of Students branch wise, which is more complex task.

3. OBJECTIVE

Training and Placement Cell is to guide students to choose right career and to give knowledge, skill, and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry.

1. Our project will automate training and placement office.

2. We are providing user friendly interface.

3. It reduces manual effort and paper work.

4. Our project act as a link between training and placement officer, HR, students, and the recruiter company.

5. To assist students in obtaining placement in reputed companies.

4. PROPOSED METHODOLOGY

1. In existing system, everything is carried out manually. Maintaining and managing data is difficult task.

2. TPO needs to refer all the documentation maintained for further working and keep the document updated.

3. Proposed system will provide easy retrieval and updating of data for TPO and easy uploading of data for student.

7. Classification of eligible student is done by sorting and shortlisted students are sent notification by SMS or E-mail.

5. PROPOSED SOLUTION

1. Reduce the paperwork and storage area.

2. Improve accuracy in result.

3. Manage the man and machine resources efficiently.

4. Secured check in, check out & updates.

5. Registration process will be online.

6. Training and Placement officer will verify student’s details. Students can upload their resume online to T&P cell.

6. FUTURE SCOPE

Based on the results the college can decide to conduct workshops and make more efforts to improve student’s performance by mainly focuses on A and C category students. The further work on segregation (clustering) using more detailed behavioral data and by considering teachers point of view about student’s extra curriculum activities and by other existing performance indicators. Other possible future works are predicting company name i.e. which company may hire what type of student. For this purpose association of companies’ basic requirement and student’s qualification is to be done. A data ware house can develop to track academic performance and placement team over a long period of time.

7. CONCLUSION

This software is one of the convenient tools today in the case any college become necessary to record and maintains information of the student. To keep record of college in a computer large amount of data store and update whenever necessary. After the system has been studied, designed, developed and tested. The following conclusions were created. The Developed system can guarantee to keep the records are safe and privacy which is stored in database.

In placement system there are many problems to maintain, searching, sorting the entire huge data. The system is provide solutions such as automates the placement procedure for any college. Using Sorting algorithm, it converts and classifies the unstructured data into structured and sorted format. Pattern matching techniques are applied on the data.
