A STUDY OF COMPUTER AWARENESS OF CLASS X STUDENTS IN UJJAIN CITY Rashmi Gautam

Abstract - The Present investigation was carried out to study the computer Awareness among student of class X. A sample of 250 students of class X in CBSE school of Ujjain city. Data collection were compiled by the researcher made question paper .Data were analyzed by frequency & percentage value .The boys & girls have responded to the questionnaire. The result revealed that computer awareness among boys & girls is not adequate.
1 INTRODUCTION
The Present Century is rightly called the “Technological Century”. The influence of advancements in the fields of Science & technology on the varied aspects of life is more.
Science & technology are playing a significant role in the formation of modern civilization of any society. Day by Day the increasing Scientific & technological impact upon human life activities is developing the scientific attitude of people every field of life computer has become an essential part of our education also.
Modern technologies have several stages & sequences in the earlier decades teacher should be exposed to modern technology in the designing & use of instructional systems appropriate to classroom situations many researchers have been conducted on the impact or effectiveness of computer Assisted instruction 2014, computer Assisted learning 2016,computer Assisted language learning 2018, use of computer for learning different subjects at various levels Shiv kumar in 2017 study of teachers & students found that both teachers & students lack of computer awareness.
1.1 Statement of the Problem
A study of computer awareness of student of class X 1.2 Objectives of the study
1. To assess computer awareness of girls of class X
2. To Compare Computer awareness between boys & girls.
1.3 Hypotheses of the study
1. Computer awareness among the Students of class X.
2. Comparing the percentile value of computer awareness of boys& girls . 1.4 Sample for the study
Random sampling technique was adopted for the present study. The investigator decided to collect data from boys & girls of 250 students of class X in CBSE School of Ujjain city students.
1.5 Tools used for the study
Effectiveness of evaluation largely depends upon the accuracy of measurement. The Researcher had selected the questionnaire form. The tool had 40 objective type questions.
Each question was in the form of multiple choices .The correct response of every question carried one point score converted in to percentage & percentage converted into Frequency 2 DATA COLLECTION
After going to the school the tools were distributed to the students in front of them & 1 hour was given to fill them.
2.1 Data Analysis
After the given compilation the frequency & percentage score of girls & boys per question were used in the data analysis & the results were interpreted according to the objectives of the Research study.

3 RESULT & DISCUSSION
1. In the assessment of computer awareness of boys and girls, It was found that the awareness of computer in girls & boys is equal, 93 percent awareness of both boys &
girls was found, both were equal.
2. Compared to the computer awareness of boys & girls, boys got 93% awareness & girls got 90% it shows that boy’s have more computer awareness than girls.
