We are waiting - The Aspirations of Tibetan children in Nepal Roopshree Joshi
This presentation will focus on the lives of Tibetan children who don't have refugee document card. A narrative will be presented on two children, one whose parents have refugee card and one whose parents also don't have refugee card.
The narrative of two children will focus on the lives of the two families and how the lack of documentation affects their daily lives. The narrative will attempt to picturise and depict the situation of Tibetan families in Nepal.
The daily lives which revolve around their social and cultural aspects as well as their daily activities will be presented in the narrative.
The families have all been born in Nepal and have spent all their lives in Nepal. They will reflect on how their lives have been over the years and what changes they have experienced.
As most of the children and families do not have citizenship they have limited opportunities and experience hardships in different ways.
Despite all the limitations the families continue to have a life in Nepal. This narrative will focus on capturing those moments in life which the Tibetan children and families experience and the resilience they show.
