Walk -in-Interview

Applications are invited to attend interview (in-person) to be held for recruitment of the two positions; one JRF/Project Associate-I and one Young Professional 2 in the Division of Plant Pathology purely on contractual basis under a DBT funded NBPGR-IARI collaborative research project

“Leveraging genetic resources for accelerated genetic improvement of Linseed using comprehensive genomics and phenotyping approaches”(upto Feb 2025) and a ICAR funded “Consortium Research Platform Project on Vaccines and Diagnostics” (upto March 2024), respectively. The positions are of temporary nature and co-terminus with the project.

The eligible candidates are requested to submit application along with all original documents and aa set of photocopy of their original documents before interview on 12-07-2023. Original documents will be verified before interview.

Post graduate degree in basic science or post graduate degree in professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/Genetics/ Botany or other related fields of plant sciences) (DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z- 05/2019 dated 21-08-2019) and O.M. No.

SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10-8-2020).

Desirable experience in pathological and molecular techniques

Upper age limit: 35 years

01 Consortium Research Platform Project on Vaccines and Diagnostics (Funding:

ICAR)

Post graduate degree in any branch of life sciences or post graduate degree in

professional courses (Agriculture with Plant Pathology Specialization/Plant Pathology/

Biotechnology/Genetics/ Botany or other related fields of plant sciences)

Desirable: Working experience in molecular techniques, plant virus detection techniques

Upper age limit: 35 years

Terms and Conditions:

1. For the details of qualifications and other requirements, please refer to ICAR Office Memorandum (F. No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated: 13/07/2015 & F.No. Agri.

Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated: 09/10/2015). The emolument of the above positions will be as per the Govt. of India/DBT/ICAR rules.

2. Age Limit for the positions is 35 years max. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years’

relaxation for SC/ST and woman candidates as per Government/ ICAR guidelines. Minimum age should be of 21 years as on date of interview.

3. The eligible candidates should report for the interview 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities. Candidates appearing for interview should bring two copies of their biodata in prescribed application format given below (Annexure I &

II), two passport size photographs and one set of attested photocopies of their certificates/

mark-sheets/ experience proof etc. Applicants must bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.

4. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.

5. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/ she has an employment.

6. Candidates whose near/ distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/ IARI, has to declare it and communicate this office as per format at the time of interview. Candidates reaching after specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.

7. Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification of the candidate.

8. In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.

9. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.

10. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound and are co-terminus with the project.
