In Semester 2, students will continue to focus on Engineering Physics 2 Exercises, Engineering Physics 2 Exercises, Calculus and Linear Algebra 2, and Calculus and Linear Algebra 2 Exercises as a foundation for learning pillar-specific courses. As the core of engineering education in the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering, students will learn specialized knowledge and skills belonging to the 13 "pillars". Students will learn the basics of machining and 3D printers in the course Exercises for Mechanical Engineering Practice, which will take place in the 3rd semester.

Even in university-wide courses, if the first character in the course code is an "M", that course is unique content associated with the Faculty of Engineering. For example, English language courses (excluding Advanced English I & II), Japanese language courses, Startup Seminar A & B and Career Design). For faculty subject codes and pillar-specific subject codes, the fifth digit stands for the academic level and the sixth digit for the lesson type: lecture (even) or assignment (odd).

Also in Experiment and Laboratory Exercises and Comprehensive Practical Exercises codes, only odd numbers are used for the sixth character, indicating the type of exercise or practical training the course is about.
