Abstract

Recently, the effectiveness of the Life Story Interview is now a hot topic in research regard- ing Teaching Japanese for Speakers of Other Languages (TJSOL). By listening to the narra- tives of teachers and learners, what can we clarify? In this paper, the author presents the results obtained from narratives of learners and teachers, and considers the possibilities and issues of using Life Story Interviews , in particular the author describes varying situations and the mix of possibilities in regards to Japanese language teachers.
