Design rationale
Iterative Design Process
Therefore, it was considered one of the important design elements to make the remains of the music ticket visible through the transparent part. In the end, we decided to use the picture frame theme, where the transparent part of the frame would contain elements that can be focused on, such as images. On the front of the ticket, a sticker RFID tag is attached, and on the back, simple instructions for use with images and text are added (Figure 10; right).
An RFID reader (Figure 10; left) in Camue recognizes the ID and the speaker plays the URL song. To do this, it was necessary to consider the shape of the product that could effectively visualize the torn ticket. In the process of replicating the first form, Camue was designed taking into account the installation location of the device such as a floor or table.
We needed a more advanced attempt to adapt the design and color of the device to the cafe. These features support our design goal of introducing people to the music we listen to through Camue.
Use Scenario in the Café
Implementation Process
There are some issues with using an RFID tag to identify songs on a paper ticket. When the barcode reader module recognizes the barcode of the ticket, the music specified in the barcode is played through the speaker. The researchers sat at one of the empty tables and ordered the coffee in the cafe to be more natural.

Deployment of Camue
Data collection and Analysis
Camue was installed on a table in front of the counter where visitors order coffee (Figure 18; left). Furthermore, I could see how the users' perception of the café changed, such as becoming more familiar with the space and wanting to visit the place more often. After P9 posted the ticket and the music played, the owner immediately asked our researchers to sanction the song's genre (hip-hop).
From what we mentioned in the results, this option introduced a new way to add value to the space by allowing users to rethink their previous image of the cafe. The degree to which the automatic system intervenes in the interaction process can be adjusted according to the characteristics of a particular room or the owner of the room. Also, having the possibility to play the music in the room at the moment the users want, promotes their communication with the cafe owner, which further makes them change the perception of the cafe.

Findings
Role of Materialization and Physical Traces of Music
Personal Taste in Music and Public Ambience of Café
Cafe owner's opinion for commercializing Camue
From six participants, we confirmed that the ability to play favorite music in the room at the time users want gives users the feeling of proactively changing the atmosphere of the café. This gave the owner a better insight into the music tastes of the customers and further led to a positive perception of the space by the customers. The participation through Camue supported the building of co-created tracks of song tickets and further encouraged users to change their perception of the space.
However, the researchers' role had some limitations due to the addition of a semi-manual process during the user-device interaction. For example, if the owner encourages free number selection of users in the room, it is better to increase the ratio of the automatic system. If it is very important to maintain the existing atmosphere of the room, strengthen the song restriction through a manual process.
Findings showed that the shape characteristics of the frame and the physical traces of song card consumption motivated users to engage with Camue. Furthermore, our findings imply how these messages can be used to evoke new interpretations of others' behavior in public spaces.
Discussion and Implications
Co-creation of Physical Traces in Public
Mediation between Self-expression and Public Participation
Designing for Indirect Restriction of Participation
Camue's interaction process seemed to influence users' consideration of the ethics of song selection, but the unified visual (eg, genre, artist) of shredded ticket stubs can add new value to the music of created publicly and the perception of space. In other words, the co-creation of public-made waste can give the user a better understanding of the space and further allow the space to be characterized as a space for sharing specific music. During the experiment, one participant selected fast-paced hip-hop music that was quite different from the existing musical mood of the coffee shop (eg, smooth music within the indie genre, ballads).
In this context, Camue, a product that enables individual expression in public places, was challenged to coordinate tension between the expression of personal taste and participation in music that would not disturb the mood of the public space. In addition, as Gaver et al. 2004) suggested, there is a possibility that the user experience of the digital interface with non-digital actions can provide a playful experience. Although in our study, exposing the topic of public participation with Camue reduced the number of thoughtless music selection situations, some thoughtless or unethical song choices could occur because there was no direct or indirect message delivered to the customers about the choice of songs. /genres is allowed when using Camue.
There is a need for a way to understand each owner and customer, which should not lean towards the needs of one over the needs of the other. If those physical tracks illustrate the most played music genre of the space through patterns or a percentage of colors, they can provide implicit messages as a social signifier (Norman 2013), evoking new interpretations of the behavior of others in the space for users who first faced the artefact for music participation.
Limitation and Future Work
