Recently, a multichannel seismic survey in the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea revealed various seismic indicators of the presence of gas hydrate and associated gas, including a bottom-simulating reflector (BSR) and seismic chimneys (Horozal et al., 2009). . Two piston cores (ROV07-3 and 4) were taken from the western slope area (approximately 1500 m water depth) of the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea, where gas seeping structures were observed. The mineralogy of carbonate concretions from gas-enriched sediments of the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea is dominated by HMC (Table 1).
The drainage basins of the three Korean rivers (Han, Keum, and Yeongsan, <4×104km2 combined) are significantly smaller than those of the Chinese rivers (Huanghe and Changjiang, >2×106km2 combined) investigated in this study. . Most of the Changjiang sediments come from weathered materials (i.e., carbonate rock) of the upper part, especially those around Jinshajiang (Wang et al. These include the relocation of the Huanghe drainage system from the southern Yellow Sea to the northern Yellow Sea ( Bohai Sea) about 150 years ago (Ren and Shi 1986).

Stable carbon isotope ratios are reported in standard d notation in per mil (%) relative to the Peedee Belemnite (PDB) standard and the accuracy of the analysis was estimated to be 0.3%. 0.5 x 109 ton/year sediment discharge up to the 1980s (Chen et al.2008) flows in central and eastern China along the edge of the monsoon area with high precipitation. 남해 무인도 주변 수역은 인간의 간섭이 비교적 적고 생물학적, 환경적, 생태적, 해양자원 가치와 관광적 가치가 매우 높으며, 각 섬은 고유한 지형/지질/환경/생태적 특성을 유지하고 있습니다. 생태계 박물관(생태축)으로 보존 가치가 매우 높습니다. 따라서 해양영토관리, 기후변화, 해양환경 보전 등 국가적 현안을 해결하기 위해서는 무인도 및 주변해역에 대한 종합적인 관리가 필요하다. 최외곽 남해역 및 전략(무인)도서 주변해역에 대한 체계적이고 종합적인 해양과학연구를 통한 해양환경 보전, 기후변화 모니터링 및 해양영토 관리(해양생태/기후건강 평가 및 지표)에 대한 과학적 기반 계산) 데이터 보호 .

Such methane probably originated from the destabilization of the underlying gas hydrates as strongly supporting the enriched18O levels.
