Introduction
The genus Leptocimbex was first described by Semenov (1896) and 17 species and three varieties were involved in the genus by Malaise (1939). Leptocimbex Semenov is endemic to the East Asia region and 30 species of the genus have been described worldwide (Yan & Wei, 2016). In South Korea, two species, Leptocimbex allantiformis and L.
gracilentus, are distributed (Lee et al., 2018). The genus Orientabia has been known as the East Asian genus consisting of eight species (Yan and Wei, 2010) and this genus was separated from Abia by Malaise in 1934 (except placed in Zaraea) (Hara & Shinohara, 2017). Orientabia coreana and O. japonica have been recorded in South Korea.
Three species of the genus Trichiosoma have been reported from South Korea until now (T. opacum, T. sachalinense, and T. vitelline).
In this study, we newly report four species to Korean cibicids fauna, Orientabia sachalinensis (Takeuchi, 1931),
Leptocimbex terrificus Malaise, 1931, Trichiosoma sericeum Konow, 1903, and T. villosum (Motschulsky, 1860), in South Korea. Diagnoses and photographs of habitus and head for each species are provided.
Materials and Method
Materials used in this study were collected by sweeping, after which they were deposited in the Laboratory of Animal Systematic of the Yeungnam University (YNU) and National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR). The images of the specimens were taken using a Canon EOS 450D digital camera (Canon, Japan) attached to a Helicon Remote (ver.
3.6.6w, USA). Images were stacked using Helicon Focus 6®
at the Natural History Museum in London. The morphological terminology mostly follows that of Ross (1945) and Viitasaari (2002). Abbreviations are as follows: GB, Gyeongsangbuk-do; GG, Gyeonggi-do; GW, Gangwon-do;
JB, Jeollabuk-do.
