Dongseo University Re-Entry and Quarantine Notice for Current International Students in DSU
This is to notify for the students who will leave Korea during the vacation and comeback to Korea for the next semester.
Please read carefully and follow the guideline below. You are responsible for any circumstances that occur because you didn’t follow.
1. Re- Entry guidance 1) Re-Entry Period
A. Recommend arrival (re-entry) period: the July 1st (Thu.) ~ August 13th (Fri.)
After August 14th, newly admitted students will have a priority for dormitory quarantine. You may not use dormitory quarantine then due to limited quarantine space and increasing number of incoming students.
B. University offices will be closed from July 26th (Mon) to July 30th (Fri) for summer vacation. Please avoid this period when you schedule your arrival
2) Re- Entry Precautions
A. Before you leave from Korea, please make sure apply for the “Re-entry permit”. Application is available at the website “hikorea.go.kr” and you have to apply at least a week before from your departure. In case you need to submit PCR test certificate for taking a flight, please visit a hospital to take a test in time.
B. Please inform your arrival schedule to “the department in charge” at least 10 working days before your return. You are responsible for any disadvantages from your late notice.
C. If you return after August 14th, the dormitory quarantine might not be available for you, and you may use the government designated facilities. The expense (approx. 1,600,000 KRW) will be charged to you. You may not be able to use the facilities if rooms are not available when you want to use. In that case, you will have to adjust your arrival schedule. If you prefer using the government designated facilities regardless your arrival date, we will help you reserve it.
D. The 2021 fall semester starts on September 1st, and the classes are highly likely to be offered offline. If you return to Korea after August 17th, you should consider being absent from class due to the two-week quarantine.
E. Also, please consider a possibility that the flight cancellation due to the pandemic situation in your home country might delay your return.
2. Quarantine guidance (on-campus quarantine room)
1) The cost of self-quarantine in the dormitory is 300,000 won. It has been raised because the dormitory fee will be charged for the quarantine period.
2) Hot drinking water will not be provided during the quarantine period.
3) You must bring all the necessary items for your quarantine.
Ex. toilet paper, toiletries like soap and shampoo, towels, plastic bags for garbage, feminine care products, face mask, thermometers, snacks or canned foods, bedding set and etc. (You can buy a bedding set at the dormitory office on your arrival. The cost is 32,000 KRW)
4) Personal heating equipment is strictly prohibited to use in quarantine room. If found, the equipment will be taken by the guard and there will be disadvantages to allocation the dorm room after the quarantine 5) Access to the quarantine floors is not allowed for the students who are not in quarantine.
6) You must not leave the room (must not go out to the dormitory hallway) during the self-quarantine period.
Violations of self-quarantine rules and regulation will result in prison up to one year or a fine of up to 10,000,000 KRW.
※ If you cannot follow the rules and regulations of on-campus quarantine, it is highly recommended to stay in government designated quarantine facilities.
