- The Term, “Semiconductor” has been Historically Misused; Semiconductor should not represent the word –
“Integrated ICs”, which contain Conductors (mostly Metals such as Al, Cu, W, Ti, etc.), Insulators (Various Oxides such as SiO2, Ta2O5, HfO, ZrO2,etc.), and Semiconductors as well. Besides, this Industry today Needs Engineers and Scientists in a very Wide Spectrum of
Science and Engineering such as Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering,
Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, etc.
- This Fact* and the Nature has already been Demonstrated even in the very Early Stage of Transistor Invention and Development in the Bell Labs – Between 1939 (when p-n Junction was Discovered) and1947 (when the First Transistor was Invented), the Semiconductor Research Team at Bell Labs was Organized with Chemists and Metallurgists as well as Theoretical, Experimental Physicists
