The study provides an overview of the field of journalism education in Kazakhstan, which has undergone significant changes during the years of independence with the rapid development of digital technologies. Special attention will be paid to the five most important topics in the field of journalism education in Kazakhstan, namely adapting students to scientific research, improving their teaching methods and identifying prerequisites for a professional career, studying the development of social networks and artificial intelligence. . The main reason for focusing on these pressing issues is the need to train professionals for the needs of the media market.
The main purpose of the study is to analyze the dynamics of the development of journalism education over 30 years and to identify the current problems in this field. The study showed that new reforms are needed in journalism education, given the failures of past reforms in the media education system. Curriculum for journalism education should provide learning based on professional experience, and educational institutions should ensure that theory, practice and production are well connected so that students can find work in their final year.

The purpose of this article is to make a comprehensive analysis of the media text as a category of a new information space; take into consideration the main structural elements, categorical characteristics and its parameters. It was the category of media text that made it possible to combine a wide variety of media products (article, record, interview, live broadcast, talk show, television news, radio show, website, etc.).

At the same time, the "authorship" of the text in the traditional sense is often blurred, and the addressee of the media text becomes its creator, acts as a co-author.
