"A research of the reasons of the increased content of copper in slime in case of electrolytic refinement of copper"

The work relevancy. In the course of electrolytic refinement of copper the slime consisting generally is formed of powdery copper that adversely affects copper electrorefinement process. Availability of slime can lead to mechanical pollution by components of slime of cathodic copper, thereby reducing its quality. Besides a significant amount of copper drops out of process of electrolytic refinement of copper that reduces efficiency of process of electrolysis. Therefore identification of the reasons formation of slime and enrichment by its metal copper will allow to determine the optimum technological process parameters of electrolysis providing reduction of formation of slime that will increase quality of cathodic copper and efficiency of process of electrolytic refinement of copper.

The goal of the thesis is improvement of quality of cathodic copper.

Determination of the optimum technological process parameters of electrolytic refinement of copper promoting reduction of formation of slime.

Methods of analysis. Chemical analysis, the fractional analysis, the statistical analysis, the sedimentatsionny analysis on the SediGraph 5100 V3.01 device.

Scientific novelty:

- it is established what is a basic reason of formation of slime reactions of a disprortsionirovaniye of monovalent ions of copper (Cu+)

- dependence of content of oxygen and lead in the anode on content of copper in slime slime from content;

- dependence of content of ions of chlorine and copper (II) on content of copper in slime.

- dependence of content of copper in slime from current density.

Practical significance:

By means of the statistical analysis according to average data of composition of electrolyte and content of copper in slime, it is established that for reduction of concentration of copper in slime it is necessary to reduce content of ions of chlorine and copper in solution. Accomplishment of this requirement will allow to reduce amount of the formed slime and content in it metal copper that will allow to receive better cathodic copper.

Basic provisions of dissertation work are reported and discussed on ІІ the International scientific and technical conference of students, undergraduates and young scientists on April 14-15, 2016, a part ІІІ, "Influence of structure and structure of copper anodes on dissolution process", Shakarimov Y.., Zhaglov V., Sheregeda Z.
