The ability to rationally separate work and private life will have a positive impact on the individual's general condition. The subject of the study of the thesis work is the exploration of issues of organizational culture and work-life balance. The purpose of the study is to identify certain motivational resources that provide a work-life balance.

Theoretical and methodological foundations of studying the issue of work-life

Work-life balance concept

Many studies on work-life balance are based on role conflict theory. The fundamental focus was on examining the negative aspects of the work-life balance interaction. The most common method for studying work-life balance is spillover theory.

Foreign experience of studying work-life balance…

Subjective balance is a personal, individual perception of the balance between work and the rest of life. At the end of the study, the results showed that the topic of work-life balance depends on gender. In one of his works, he discusses resources in the context of the study of career success.

Another problem arises here - the problem of the relationship between the terms "motivation" and "motive". Another author of substantial theory is McClelland, who developed the theory of acquired needs. Motivational factors are related to the very nature and essence of work (performance, promotion, recognition and approval of work results, high level of responsibility, opportunities for creative and business growth).

The theoretical basis of the theory of self-determination is the analysis of internal and external motivation. In the second part of the methodology, respondents must assess the importance of each motive for themselves. A comparative analysis of the data obtained by the method “The possibility of realization of motives” was carried out using the Wilcoxon criterion.

According to the results of the methodology to identify implicit attitudes towards work and private life, respondents were classified into three groups. During the course of the study, a content analysis was carried out of the associations mentioned by respondents with regard to work and leisure. The significance of the motive "satisfaction with the process" is greater than the possibility of its implementation in the company.

The importance of the motives "communication with colleagues" and "excitement, competitiveness, competitiveness" for respondents is less than the possibility of implementing these motives in the organization. The importance of the motives "communication with colleagues" and "excitement, competitiveness, competitiveness" for the respondents is less than the possibility of implementing these motives in the organization.

Theoretical foundations of the study of resources

Bodrov considers the source within the framework of the development of the theory of psychological stress. Based on the obtained results, a profile of the possibility of implementing the motives is built, where the evaluations for the first and second part of the methodology are visually compared. This correlation coefficient is used to assess the strength of association of the data obtained on the rank scale.

Based on the results obtained following the results of the methodology "The possibility to implement motives", a profile of the possibility to implement motives and their meaning for respondents was built. Analysis of the results of a sample of employees showed that the importance of the motives "material wealth stability, reliability promotion, career growth" and "satisfaction with the process" is greater than the possibility of their implementation in the organization. This innovation in the organization explains the high marks received for the possibility of implementing the above motive, but at the same time the significance of the motive is lower.

One of the study's hypotheses about the relationship between an implicit positive attitude toward rest and external goals has been partially confirmed.

Description of the study sample

Research methods

The group "Lovers of rest" includes respondents who have a positive attitude towards rest and a negative attitude towards work. The third group - "Workaholics", includes people who have a positive attitude to work, a negative attitude to rest. The methodology consists of two parts: the first allows you to assess the possibility of implementing motives in the organization, and the second - the meaning of the motives for the respondent.

For a subjective assessment of the work-personal life balance, the method "Subjective work-personal life balance" developed by A. 30 factor analysis, the authors formulated variants of the relationship of these two spheres based on existing theories: balance, independence, positive transference, negative transference, interference and compensation. The scores on the questions are added up, then the average is calculated for each of the scales.

Based on the obtained results, it is possible to determine how high or low the respondent assesses the subjective balance between work and private life, and to recognize his explicit attitude towards the balance of these areas. The "Life Goals" questionnaire, developed by American psychologists E. Chirkova, was used to study the priority life goals of an individual. Respondents should be assigned a rank for each of the fifteen objectives, with 1 being the most important objective and 15 being the least important.

Ryan, the authors of the method claim that people who have internal goals have greater psychological well-being and psychological health than people for whom external goals are a priority.

Research procedure

First, the raw data were processed according to the keys and scales, which were then entered into a table for the convenience of further work with them.

Research results and their discussion

35 The results of an overall assessment of subjective work-life balance were obtained using the "Subjective Work-Life Balance" methodology. The analysis of the results showed that the level of clear assessment of the work-life balance by employees is lower than the average obtained in a sample of workers in the study by A. The subgroup "material reward" consisted of associations related to income and wages of respondents.

The subgroup "positive feelings and emotions" includes associations that reflect positively colored emotional states and the feelings of the respondents. The subgroup "negative emotions and feelings" includes a number of associations that characterize negatively colored emotions and feelings. 34;negative feelings and emotions" formed associations associated with positively colored emotions, feelings and states, and negative feelings and emotions, respectively.

Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that with the concept of "work". 38 The subgroups 'material reward positive emotions and feelings' and 'negative emotions and feelings' form almost equal parts of the general group of associations with the concept 'work', which may indicate that work-related concepts are equally associated with positive emotions. and with negative. The results obtained for the group of associations that respondents identified for the concept of "rest" show that the majority is the subgroup "travel" (37%), while the subgroup "positive emotions and feelings" occupies a slightly smaller proportion than also a significant part, and the subgroup 'negative feelings and emotions'.

Thus, associations with the concept of "rest" in 96% have positive meanings, which cannot be said for associations with the concept of "work", where negative meanings are expressed to a greater extent.

Analysis of significant motives

The average values of the possibility to implement motives and its significance obtained for the group showed that the assessment of the possibility to implement motives in the organization is lower than its significance for respondents. The importance of the motive "material prosperity" shows statistically significant differences from the possibility of implementing this motive in the organization, which indicates the importance of the material component for employees. The meaning of the motive "promotion, career growth" is statistically significantly different from the possibility of implementing this motive, this can be explained by the fact that career growth in the company does not depend on personal efforts.

The lesser importance of the motive "communication with colleagues" compared to the possibility of its implementation can be explained by the fact that employees work on submarines, in conditions where there are constant interpersonal contacts due to limited workplace. Such conditions can lead to violations of each employee's personal space. The lesser importance of the motive "excitement, competitiveness, competitiveness" compared to the possibility of its implementation in the company, is explained by the recent introduction of competitive plans for employees.

The results obtained on the basis of the results of the correlation analysis to study the relationship between the age of the subjects and important motives showed that there are statistically significant negative associations between age and the following motives that can be implemented in the organization: material well-being, communication with colleagues, career growth , improvement of professional competences, satisfaction with the process, satisfaction with the result, independence, feeling of success, excitement and competition, need for self-realization. For the respondents, the important motives "controlling other people" and "excitement and competition" are statistically significantly negatively related to the age of the respondents. A positive statistically significant relationship was obtained between the age of the subjects and personal growth, which indicates that personal growth and development are important for older employees.

43 A positive statistically significant correlation was also obtained between the age of the subjects and the overall subjective assessment of the balance between professional and private life. In the empirical research, we studied the interrelationships of the motivational-value sphere and the balance between work and private life on the example of employees. During the work, a content analysis of the respondents' associations with the concepts of "work" and "rest" was carried out, and a motivational profile was built and analyzed according to the importance of motives and the possibility of their realization. in the organization.
