THEME 9 LACK OF ONLINE TEACHING EXPERIENCES 5.4 THE THEMES AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS
5.7 CONCLUSION
This research on the challenges faced by EL teacher trainees when conducting their online lessons identified several themes which were analyzed for study purposes. The most common issue found were internet connection as well as students’ responses during the lessons. These practical teachers felt troubled with these issues as it hindered their lesson plan. Although most of the issue could be solve with certain solutions, there was still as issue with time management which these practical teachers could not overcome. Therefore, in order for these teachers to conduct a smooth lesson without any interruption, it is best that the school authority, parents as well as government to step in because these practical teachers could only do the bare minimum of conducting their planned lessons.
Besides that, this research was conducted in hopes to help other practical teachers who will face similar challenges when conducting online lessons. The solutions provided could be used by future practical teachers which would help them overcome the obstacles and have a more positive experience of teaching online classes.
As a conclusion, there is a need for further research on this topic involving other states in Malaysia in order to improve online teaching environment for both practical teachers and students.
