BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE WITH HONOURS
This degree program was developed based on collaboration between UKM with Medical Assistant Board, Medical Assistant Association and Medical Assistant Union aimed at producing more graduates with a degree in the field of Assistant Medical Officer. The program started in 2007 and is one of the special programs for Assistant Medical Officer. This program is conducted on a full-time basis and course work. Varies method of teaching are emphasised such as simulation-based learning, problem solving, lectures, clinical attachment and etc in this program. At the end of the program, students are expected to graduate with competence in the relevant areas of knowledge and clinical skills apart of from leadership and communication skills. In this program, students are also exposed to medical research capabilities. They are required to conduct research with a guide by an expert in the relevant field. The aim of this program is to produce a well-rounded skills and knowledgeable graduate in the field of emergency medicine.

A) General University Requirements Malaysian Certificate of Education.
Candidates must pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams or equivalent exams and pass with honors in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia Papers
High School Certificate of Malaysia (STPM). AND;
Candidates must pass STPM exams with at least CGPA of 2.00 and get at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) of General Studies subjects; and Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) other subjects;
Matriculation / Foundation Certificate OR;
Candidates must pass the Matriculation / Foundation course with at least CGPA of 2.00;
Sijil Tinggi Agama (STAM) OR;
Candidates must pass the Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) with at least Jayyid Rank;
OR;
Candidates must have a Diploma or other equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate;
OR;
Candidates must have other qualifications and / or experience recognized by the Senate as listed in the Faculty Handbook respectively.
AND;
Malaysian University English Test(MUET).
The candidates must have at least Level 2 (Band 2) in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
B) Special Conditions of the Faculty.
Matriculation Certificate
Candidates must pass Matriculation courses at least CGPA of 2.33 and obtain at least Grade C for the following two subjects: Biology or Physics / Mathematics or Chemistry.
High School Certificate of Malaysia (STPM). OR
Candidates must pass STPM exams with at least CGPA of 2.33 and get at least Grade C for the following two subjects:
Biology or Physics / Mathematics or Chemistry.
OR
Candidates must obtain at least Grade D for the following two subjects: Biology or Physics / Mathematics or Chemistry.
OR
Candidates must have a Diploma approval with at least CGPA 2.75 in the relevant field.
Malaysian University English Test (MUET). AND
The candidates must have at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or IELTS (5.5) / TOEFL
C). Special Conditions Entry into the Year 2
Holds a Diploma in Medical Assistant with at least CGPA 2.5 or other qualifications recognized equivalent by the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board and approved by the UKM Senate
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board AND
Candidates may apply for a credit exemption for courses equivalent to pre-emptive courses (refer to the SME Credit AND Transfer and Exemption Guidelines)
AND
Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Candidates must have at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
