EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In this Social Media Portfolio, we applied the concept that we have learned during classes, ENT530 - Principles of Entrepreneurship. It has evidence for our hands-on activities and it is a pair assignment. The Social Media Portfolio by Mamasab Pastry is produced by Farra Sofea and Alyssa Sofia from HM2413B.
The business registration had been done in the go-eCommerce system, myENT and SSM. The name of our business is Mamasab Pastry. As drop shippers, we are selling cakes from Mamasab Bakery. The drop shippers are responsible for handling customer’s demand plus communicating with the agent of Mamasab Bakery. We believe that the cakes from Mamasab are well-known and favored by Malaysians. The food products have nationwide delivery and we are focusing on delivering the desserts to our customers who live in Bangi and Shah Alam. Also, we are targeting to sell our products to students in college, university and working adults. In addition, we are considering promoting directly to people who like food and desserts, especially cakes. This can be done by evaluating people who likes, shares and comments on food posts in Facebook. Moreover, the price range for our food products is from RM40 to RM50.
Both of us utilized Facebook for an online marketing campaign. In addition, we do the marketing through Whatsapp and Word-of-Mouth. For marketing purposes, we utilized social media, namely Facebook by creating a page with a custom link. The custom URL of Mamasab Pastry’s Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/mamasabpastry. To summarize, we posted 4 teaser posts which should entice the audience into the Mamasab products, especially cakes. For the copywriting, we wrote 16 hard sell posts and 16 soft sell posts. Each has graphics for online marketing and is designed using Canva. As of 11th July 2022, there are 119 people who ‘like' our Facebook page and 124 people ‘follow’ the page. Based on the sales report, we gained profits amounting to RM131.

Referring to table 2.1, the name of our business is Sofies Enterprise and we are known as Mamasab Pastry on Facebook. Hence, the original Mamasab Bakery brand name. We used the original name and changed it to pastry because we want to focus on selling pastries by Mamasab even though the brand has various products, including skin care products, hair products, and frozen foods. For business addresses, since we are at home for Open and Distance Learning, we make our home as each other’s business bases. Both of us work as drop shippers, so we do not have any products on our hands. We must promote our products on social media, communicate with the customers, and take orders.

Referring to Figure 2.1, Mamasab Pastry is operated by Farra Sofea Lim and Alyssa Sofia binti Zulkharnain. We decided to work with Mamasab Bakery as drop shippers, hence why the organizational chart only has both of us. We want to make an easy side income without putting too much hustle. The advantage of being drop shippers is that we do not have to keep any stock with us, nor do we deliver the physical products to customers. Since we are also students, we have the chance to find our time when we want to handle the customers.

a) To make sure we provide delicious food products to our customers.
b) To ensure customers who love food and dessert are interested in buying products from Mamasab Bakery.
c) To deliver the desserts efficiently especially to those who live in Bangi and Shah Alam.

- Ease the daily activities of people who love desserts by delivering timely service.

Mamasab Pastry is a business that supplies a variety of food products, especially cakes.

In conclusion, Sofies Enterprise also known as Mamasab Pastry on Facebook is a small business run by both of us as drop shippers. We have been selling cakes mainly, but Mamasab Bakery has various products for all age stages, and most importantly, their products are affordable. We have consistently promoted Mamasab’s products through social media, especially on our Facebook Page. We received a pretty good reception from the people who visit our Facebook Page. Some of our customers are interested in buying Mamasab’s products through the hard sell and soft sell that we posted on Facebook, and the rest are from word-of-mouth. After the first few customers bought cakes with us, they spread the good news to their friends, family, and college. Although our sales are not as much as we targeted, this has given us an excellent opportunity to dabble in the business area. It also gave us much new knowledge since we work and learn from people who have been in the business industry for years.
As for now, our customers have been from different places, like Kedah, Penang, Perak, Banting, Shah Alam, Kajang and Subang Jaya. Though handling a small business is something that we were unfamiliar with, so far, the journey and the progress have been improving daily. Of course, the help from our lecturer and support from the Mamasab’s team gave us the courage to do well with this small business.
