INTRODUCTION
Introduction
Due to the improvements in technology, the number of mobile wallet applications is increasing in these few years. Mobile wallets entered Malaysia several years ago, but there are a small number of Malaysians who know about it and use it. Therefore, this study aims to determine the factors influencing the behavioral intention of Malaysians to use a mobile wallet.
The researchers plan to find out how Malaysians' behavioral intention is influenced by perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived risk mediated by attitude.
Research Background
Popular mobile wallet like WeChat Pay, Samsung Pay, Google wallet, Alipay, Apple Pay, CIMB pay and others. The focus of this research is to examine the factors that contributed to Malaysia's intention to adopt mobile wallet. According to Maybank (2016), Maybank has launched MaybankPay, the first mobile wallet in Malaysia that enables customers to make cashless payments.
On the other hand, Alipay, the Chinese mobile wallet, is the latest mobile wallet to be implemented in Malaysia.
Problem Statement
However, the acceptability of Malaysian mobile wallet needs to be studied in order to introduce this technology in Malaysia (Pantano & Pietro, 2012). In addition, users are always concerned about ease of use regarding mobile wallet interface design (Tarasewich, 2003). For mobile wallet applications, design and usability guidelines are limited (Chou, Lee & Chung, 2004).
There is thus a need for a study to add to the new research on mobile wallets.

H1: There is a positive relationship between perceived ease of use and attitude towards using mobile wallet. There is a positive relationship between perceived ease of use and attitude towards mobile wallet use.
Thus, to determine the relationship between perceived risk and attitude towards the use of mobile wallet met.
Hypothesis of the Study
Significance of the Study
Therefore, this study aims to create awareness among all consumers to adopt mobile wallet because it brings benefits to them. Through this research, consumers will be exposed to mobile wallets and realize that mobile wallet is not only beneficial but also improves their standard of living. For example, users can easily pay using a mobile wallet without any cards or papers.
For government agencies, the mobile wallet will be an important development because it brings convenience and efficiency to citizens and institutions themselves.
Chapter Layout
Jones (2015) also stated that mobile wallets will one day be implemented in government offices, such as people paying for license renewals using their smartphones. This chapter also includes the implication of the research, identifies the limitations of the research and provides suggestions for improvement in future research. Finally, the conclusion is formed based on the entire research project along with the set of research objectives.

Davis (1989) further found that attitude was a partial mediator between perceived usefulness and intention to adopt mobile wallet. In previous study, it was found that there is a negative relationship between perceived risk and attitude when using mobile wallet in Japan. This is because citizens believe that there is a low perceived risk when using mobile wallet because it had established the reliability and security of the Suica brand (Donald & Remy, 2011).
In addition, Trivedi (2017) investigates that attitudes towards using a mobile wallet have a significant influence on behavioral intention.

Through this quantitative research, researcher can clearly understand and analyze the relationship between the independent variables, mediator and dependent variable in this study. Therefore, descriptive research is useful in this research to investigate the impact of the independent variables that Malaysia's intention to use mobile wallet. Malaysian who have not used mobile wallet before is our target respondent in this study.
In this research, only nominal, interval and ordinal scales were adopted in the design of the questionnaire. The questionnaires used in this study were adopted by Aydin (2016) and Ricardo, Stella and Andrade (2016). According to Zikmund (2003), at this stage, it consists of an interconnected procedure, which can transform data into meaningful information.
Descriptive statistics using frequency distribution, mean, mode, medium, standard deviation and others to summarize the data suitable to use in this study, which makes it easier for people to understand. Therefore, in this study, the researchers aim to use Cronbach's alpha value with more than 0.7 to ensure that the questionnaire is good reliability. However, in this study there is an element of perceived ease of use due to Cronbach's alpha value is less than 0.7, and therefore the original test suggests researchers to remove one of the questions to ensure that the independent variable is more reliable.
In addition, the questionnaire can be considered primary data in this study, while secondary data is used to support the assessment of evidence from journals, articles, the Internet, and books. Finally, the multiple and mediated variable regression model is more appropriate to use in this chapter.

This section would consist of knowledge about mobile wallet and heard from where, intention used mobile wallet, convenient to make purchases online, important factors affecting mobile wallet usage and number of cards used to make payments. Followed by 65 respondents (22%) have heard for the first time and 23 respondents (8%) have used mobile wallet before. In addition, 93 respondents (39.9%) find using a mobile wallet somewhat convenient, 38 respondents (16.3%) find it very convenient to use a mobile wallet to make a payment.
Based on Table 4.2, security is the highest rank that most people think is most important when using mobile wallet (157 respondents, 67.4%). While trust (70 respondents, 30%) and fast management (70 respondents, 30%) are fourth important when using the mobile wallet. Followed by the mean of perceived ease of use 3.7650, and attitude 3.7586, while perceived risk and behavioral intention have the least mean, which is 3.7403.
Based on Table 4.5(a), the value of R2 is 0.487, which means that three independent variables, namely perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk, influence changes in attitude. Based on Table 4.5(c), the standardized beta value for perceived ease of use has a significant impact on attitude compared to the other predictors, which are perceived usefulness and perceived risk. However, there is no significant difference between perceived risk and attitude because the p-value is 0.384, so H3 is rejected.
Sobel's test would be used to test the mediating effect of attitude between perceived risk and behavioral intentions. Nevertheless, perceived risk has a direct effect (t = -2.767, p = 0.006) in relation to behavioral intention, thus attitude has a partial mediation effect between perceived risk and behavioral intention.
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATIONS
Introduction
Summary of Statistical Analyses
- Descriptive Analysis
- Scale Measurement
- Inferential Analysis
Based on the general information, most of the respondents have heard about the mobile wallet but have not used it before the respondents), followed by the respondents who have heard about it for the first time) and have heard and used it before the respondents). In addition, most respondents intend to use it (84%, 233 respondents) and respondents think it is convenient to use mobile wallet respondents). Security is the most important factor that the respondents considered it as respondents) and most of the respondents used two to three cards to carry out the respondents' financial transaction).
Based on table 4.3 in Chapter 4, since all variables showed that their value is more than 0.7, therefore all variables are highly reliable. The purpose of performing multiple regression analysis is to investigate the significant relationship between three independent variables and dependent variable. The purpose of using single regression analysis and Sobel test is to determine the significant between independent variable and dependent variable via mediator.
The independent variable includes perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk and the intermediate variable is attitude, while the dependent variable in this study is behavioral intention. All variables have positive significance with respect to the dependent variable, except that perceived risk is unrelated to attitudes towards using a mobile wallet based on the result obtained.

In other words, when perceived ease of use increases, the attitude towards using mobile wallet will increase. The objective of analyzing the relationship between perceived ease of use and attitude towards the use of mobile wallet has thus been achieved. The research question of "How does perceived ease of suing affect attitude toward mobile wallet use?" were answers in this research.
Thus, to investigate the relationship between perceived usefulness and attitude towards the use of mobile wallet met. How does perceived usability affect attitude towards mobile wallet use?” were answers in this research. Perceived risk is not the factor influencing attitude towards using mobile wallet which is supported by Khasawneh (2015).
The research question of "How does perceived risk affect attitude toward mobile wallet use?" were the answers in this research. Therefore, H5 is accepted that there is a significant relationship between attitude and behavioral intention to use mobile wallet. Therefore, to determine the relationship between attitude and behavioral intention to adopt mobile wallet was met.
The research question "How does attitude affect behavioral intention to adopt mobile wallet?" were the answers in this research. Thus, we can conclude that attitude has a positive relationship with behavioral intention towards mobile wallet usage.
