I hereby certify that the work embodied in this report is the result of original research and has not been submitted for a higher degree to any other university or institution. Background of study includes theories, concepts, terms and ideas about a topic or question. A brief definition of the independent and dependent variables is included in the definition of terms.
According to the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) (2018), Malaysia is one of the developing countries on the list, but it is a temperate country with undernourished people. There are still malnourished children in Malaysia and the country will only be able to meet one of the ten global nutrition targets by 2025. According to Momina Abid (2018), the findings of the study show a strong positive association between malnutrition and psychological distress, as well as a significant impact of malnutrition on psychological distress.
Moreover, one of the reasons for malnutrition among students is lack of awareness about a balanced and nutritious diet among students from rural areas.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
This is due to the fact that the alert region in Malaysia had a higher proportion of malnourished children than the national rate. That's because previous study findings revealed that breakfast-skipping behaviors are linked to food deprivation. This is because some students will save money by dieting and not eating enough.
However, the students could not afford these items and include them in a regular diet due to the difficult financial situation in their respective homes, which in turn resulted in them having juicy yet cheap street food, which degrades the nutritional quality of the diet. has. consumption (Hadaye, Rujuta, Barsha and Sujata, 2019). The purpose of this study is to investigate what causes malnutrition among University Malaysia Kelantan City campus students. Overweight people are more likely to suffer from psychological stress, such as sadness, anxiety and low social output.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Apart from that, the findings of this study can help people who are not aware of it to increase awareness on this topic. Furthermore, this research should contribute to reducing the number of statistical cases of malnutrition among UMK students. Not only that, but the findings of this study will help future researchers learn more about the causes of malnutrition in college students.

- SUMMARY
The effect of unhealthy diet can be seen through the changes of the student's body shape, because there will be a lot of changes in the student's body, neither thin nor fat. Today, the issue of food insecurity is very important to the university students who are produced from the factory and play an important role in making the public feel safe to eat the food. Whereas, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the limitations or uncertainty of adequate and safe nutritional foods, or the limited or uncertain ability to obtain acceptable food in a socially acceptable manner.
Research on college food insecurity often argues that college students' experiences with food poverty differ from those of the broader community. If this is the case, it is critical that we assess food insecurity in a way that encompasses these diverse experiences, or at least allows researchers to take comparable measures of food insecurity. Food insecurity includes situations of food acquisition difficulties, poor diet quality and disrupted eating patterns resulting from a lack of resources (Coleman-Jensen A, 2020).
Food insecurity affects caloric intake and diet quality, as well as other aspects of an individual's overall well-being (Gundersen, 2018). Food security, according to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), implies having physical and economic access to enough food to meet dietary needs for a productive and healthy life at all times. Food insecurity is often linked to poverty in both the United States and developing countries.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), about 14.7 percent of American families are either low or very food insecure. Many people lack the financial means to meet basic needs, putting their families at risk of an unreliable food supply. Despite the fact that food insecurity is directly related to poverty, not everyone who lives below the poverty line suffers from it, but people who live above the poverty line can too.
Food insecurity does not exist in a vacuum, as low-income families face a host of barriers, including a lack of affordable housing, social isolation, economic/social disadvantage due to systemic racism, chronic or acute health conditions, high medical costs, and poor wages. First, we found that loss of appetite is one of the factors of malnutrition among students.

- SUMMARY
This study explains details about the factor and has received the literature related to the study variable. The best research design that can be adopted and used to complete this study was descriptive research, according to the study, factor malnutrition among students of University Malaysia Kelantan, City Campus under investigation by the researcher. In addition, the researcher used a questionnaire method to complete the study on the factor of malnutrition among students of University Malaysia Kelantan, City Campus.
To use this strategy, researchers need to prepare a question text to make it easier for them to ask people to answer all their questions and provide all the information necessary to carry out the research on the factor of malnutrition among students of University Malaysia Kelantan, City Campus to complete. . According to the study on the factor of malnutrition among University Malaysia Kelantan, city campus student. The data will be provided to students of University Malaysia Kelantan, City Campus who do not follow a healthy diet.
When the researcher meets the student from University Malaysia Kelantan, City Campus, he or she can do this face-to-face interview. Purposive sampling is a type of sampling in which the researcher selects respondents or members of the public to participate in the study. We have made three sections, namely section A mental state, section B lack of knowledge and section C food consumption.
There are two objectives to be compiled for this data, namely to study the relationship between mental status and malnutrition among University of Malaysia Kelantan City Campus students and to explore the relationship between malnutrition and lack of knowledge among City Campus Students of Malaysia Kelantan. The high rates of mental illness reported by students, as well as the significant increase in the number of students seeking college counseling, demonstrate that, therefore, mental health can cause malnutrition in adolescents, especially students (Craig Thorley, 2017) . The association between lack of knowledge and malnutrition among University Malaysia Kelantan City Campus Student.
This chapter discusses the benefits, potential between mental status and malnutrition among University Malaysia Kelantan City Campus students and also the relationship between malnutrition and lack of knowledge among University Malaysia City Campus students.

This case was linked to the previous study, which according to the World Health Organization (April 15, 2020) refers to deficiencies, excesses or imbalances in nutrients that a person receives. This was related to the issue of food insecurity is very important for the university students who are produced from the factory play to feel safe eating the food. In addition, the answer given by the respondent is that it appears when there was situation the body becomes weaker due to lack of nutrition.
This was linked to the previous research showing that loss of appetite can lead one to nutritional deficiencies and problems, which can have a detrimental impact on a patient's health, overall well-being and quality of life (Patel, 2017). are caused by physiological factors that cause a person to lose their appetite. The second part of the questionnaire then also contains five questions, with this part focusing more on students' knowledge about malnutrition. According to the first question, respondents were asked if they were concerned about eating a well-balanced diet.
This relates to the previous study, where limited time for their free time many students do not take the knowledge of nutritious diet as a serious matter in their daily life. Next, the third question in this section is how students feel or affect when the body lacks nutrients. So the respondent answers that it can interfere with their daily life, lack of energy and always sleepy, and many more.
This is related to the fact that the effect of unhealthy diet can be seen through the changes of the student's body shape, because there will be a lot of changes that happen to the students' body, neither thin nor fat. What is the correlation between lack of knowledge and malnutrition among University Malaysia Kelantan City Campus students. Lack of nutrients, either from poor diet consisting of malnutrition, includes underweight, stuntedness and wasting” (INF5).
This is because students are less concerned about their regular diet. As a result, it can be inferred that mental health, lack of understanding and inadequate food consumption are all major contributors to malnutrition among students at University Malaysia City Campus Kota.
