First, thanks to God for giving me the opportunity, ability and strength to complete this research paper.

Then, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor, Dr. Hjh.

Zuraidah Zaaba for her continuous knowledge, guidance, continuous support, patience in completing my research paper.

Besides that, I would also like to give a special appreciation to the lecturers of Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies ( F S P P P ) of UiTM Sabah, family and friends, and also those who contributed to the success of this research.

A B S T R A C T

The aim of the study was to focus on the perceptions of students on plagiarism. The researcher interviewed the participants with sampling size of 61 participants at the areas of UiTM Sabah. The completion of data helps the researcher to answer the research question. By using Interview technique, all of the three research questions were answered by the participants. The researcher provides nine interview questions with regards to the objective of the study. For research question 1, the answer based on the interview question 1, interview 2, interview 3, interview 4, interview 5 and interview 9. The result of research question 2 are based on the participants answer for Interview 8, that most of the students should using the detection tool of plagiarism and finally, the research question 3 was addressed by the participants explain in Interview 6 and Interview 7 that the reason of plagiarism was the students is lazy. The findings help further study on conduct the research on other branch with similar research paper. The findings are expected for academics and those interested to understand the perceptions of plagiarism.
