: WMG was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016 on 25 November 2015 as a private limited company under the name of WMG Holdings Sdn Bhd. The Company was a special purpose vehicle incorporated for a reverse takeover exercise (“RTO”) of Tekala Corporation Berhad (“Tekala”) pursuant to a regularisation plan undertaken by Tekala. Subsequently, the Company was converted to a public limited company on 4 November 2016.
On 31 July 2017, the Company assumed Tekala’s listing status following the de-listing of Tekala shares from the Official List of the Main Market of Bursa Securities, and the listing of and quotation for WMG Shares on the Official List of the Main Market of Bursa Securities in place of Tekala.
WMG is an investment holding company and the Group is principally involved in property development and wholesaling and retailing of hardware, building materials and related goods.
