INTRODUCTION
Ion chromatography (IC) is a method that allows the analysis of cations and anions simultaneously and it is a valuable technique for multi analytes determination.
The IC instrumentation found many applications, especially in the analysis of environmental and biomedical samples. Although IC provides a multi-parameter analysis approach, as other chromatographic techniques, a good maintenance and trouble-shooting of the instrument are important in order to obtain high quality data. Thus, it is essential for operators of the IC instrumentation to acquire proper knowledge on handling of the equipment and this workshop is intended to provide participants with first hand knowledge on both maintenance and trouble-shooting of IC intrumentation conducted by experts from leading manufacturer of IC equipment such as Metrohm (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE The aims of this workshop are to provide training in terms of:
1.Knowledge on basic IC concept and application
2.Know-how and Hands-on about the daily maintenance of IC instrumentation 3.Know-how and hands-on regarding resolving various operation problems of the instrument (Trouble-shooting)
PARTICIPANTS
The workshop is open to all persons who are with and without experience in the instrument and wish to acquire basic knowledge and advance skills about operating and handling of the IC instrumentaion. The number of participant is limited to 15 only and will be on first come first serve basis.

REGISTRATION & FEES
The fees for the workshop is RM500.00 per person for two days, which includes course notes, certificate and meals. Payment may be made by cash or cheque before the workshop. For payment by cheque, please make payable to Bendahari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
