Abstract
This study presents the ability grouping and school performance among a
sample size of one hundred eighty two (182) elementary graduates of St.
Scholastica's Academy, Academic Year 2008-2009.
It is
an analysis
of
variances across
time on
school performances
of
homogeneous and
heterogeneous groupings.
The school
performances
are
based on
cumulative grade
point
average, achievement test results, and school
mental ability. Multiple
analyses
of variance showed signifrcant
differences on the following:
school performances of
the homogeneous
grouping; school performances of
the heterogeneous groupings except
for
school mental ability;
and, as a whole on school performances. The
findings significantly show that the groupings of the respondents can be
of help to increase school performance in terms of
school mental ability
and cumulative grade point average, except for achievement test results'
