December 18-28, 2020

In a much subdued manner than we are accustomed to, we are thankful to have felt the happy vibe of Christmas and look forward to a safe welcoming of the New Year 2021. As we approach the end of the 2020, we reflect anew at the blessings that we have received which undoubtedly outweighed the challenges we encountered. A grateful and hopeful mindset sets the tone for the coming year.

This we call to mind, and therefore we have hope:

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;

His mercies never come to an end;

They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:21-25

Although there were reports of a new strain of the Covid-19 virus and that the cases might shoot up this holiday season, we are also assured that the government is negotiating for a vaccine to be available by mid-2021. However, no matter how promising the vaccine’s efficacy may be, we should not let our guards down but continue to be vigilant and adhere on the basic health protocols that we have been practicing.

On a personal note, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the employees’ of PHC who displayed unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence in upholding the highest standards of cardiovascular care, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its attendant risks. Cooperation and synergy of committed individuals guaranteed (and will continue to guarantee) success
