Faculty Profile

Faculty Profile According to Educational Attainment, Gender and Tenure

In terms of tenure, sixty-four percent (64%) of the university's professors hold permanent positions, while 13% are on contract, 8% are part-time, and 15% are employed on a contract of employment basis. The growing number of tenured professors represents a strong effort by the University to reward its teaching staff who have met the minimum requirements for a tenured teaching position and have achieved excellent results as reflected in performance evaluations.

The figures prove that in AY 2013-2014 the University was able to make improvements to the profile of its faculty when compared with the figures in Table 14, which show that during the previous years BPSU mainly consists of faculties that do not meet the minimum requirements for instructor positions and the number of faculties with doctoral degrees did not reach the University's target. Furthermore, the granting of permanent appointments served as one of the instruments of the University to further motivate its faculty by giving them a sense of economic security and to attract applicants who possess the right attitude and skills needed in teaching .

Meanwhile, the rest of the applicants tried to continue their tertiary education in Dinalupihan, Orani and Bagac Extension Campus.

AY 2013-2014 Admission Per Gender and Campus
