Program;.determine the level of attainment of the objectives of
this progrum;identify
the sports activities undertakenor
implemented; assess the level of adequacy of the existing instructional materials in termsof
equipment, facilitiesand supplies;
enumeratethe problems
encountered;and
suggest measures toimprove the
irnplementationof
theprogram.
The data were collectedfrom
132 respondents.The findings show that the
program partially
implemented, its objectives partially attained,*O tfr"
sports activities undertaken alsopartially
irnplemented.Instructional materials in terms of equipment, facilities and supplies are adequate.
The leading serious problems met
by
the teachers are lackof
equipment, lackof knowledge and skill in sonp
additional sports event, logistic problems,lv
absence of other facilities, lack
of
supplies, lackof
interest on the part of teachers,lack of
interest onthe part of
administrators,lack of
interest on thepart of
the students, heavy teaching loadsof
Physical Educationteachers, difficulty on
the scheduling of Physical Education classes due to additional minutes.The
suggested measuresinclude having
seminar-workshop/sportsclinic,
separating healthfrom
music,giving
fewer teaching loadsto
coaches arrd sports coordinator,providing
fundsto
secondary schools by thecity
school board for the purchaseof
athletic equipment and supplies,giving
support by the administratorsin the implementation of the revised School Programs, giving barangay
counterparts in financing
sports activities, soliciting funds for the
purchase of
some equipment, and
