Master in Information Systems
ABSTRACT
The Learner's Progress and Records Management System for Carolina National High School (CNHS) is a browser-based information system that addresses the difficulties in processing and releasing learner's records. The system provides modules for the school registrar, class advisers, learner information system (LIS) coordinator, and the principal in managing records, viewing, verifying learner information and generating of learner records.
The Learner's Progress and Records Management System for Carolina National High School (CNHS) was developed using a prototyping approach which was designed, tested and refined until a satisfactory prototype was achieved. It was implemented using ASP and utilized MS SQL as a database server. Existing free technologies in front-end development were used such as Bootstrap and .NET framework for faster development, support, and security implementation.
The Learner's Progress and Records Management System for Carolina National High School (CNHS) was initially tested by the key users of the system. This project used the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the Usefulness, Satisfaction, and Ease of use (USE) questionnaires to assess the impact of the system to Carolina National High School.
