In 1979, the first non-governmental organization was founded as part of the national democratic movement in the region. 1 There are three reasons why the activists of the national democratic movement resorted to the establishment of non-governmental organizations in the region. In the period from 1986 to 1992, the work of the Consortium of Non-Governmental Organizations expanded and changed.
The founding director of the CWNGO was born in the region and has been an activist since the 1970s. Disagreement over military tactics and the leadership of the National Democratic movement eventually led to a split in 1992. From the beginning, GABRIELA took a firm political position as part of the National Democratic movement.

Democratization of Indonesian Society during the Later Part of the Suharto Period

Trade unions have existed in Indonesia since the Dutch colonial period in the late 1990s. The 1994 workers' strike in Medan and Pernatangsianar can be regarded as an important milestone in the revival of the Indonesian labor movement. The aggressive promotion of the concept of karyaan (single loyalty) in the state enterprise (Budiman, 1990).
Due to being embedded in the system, workers were supposedly not allowed to strike. Their activities were considered an important milestone in the resurgence of the Indonesian labor movement (Ibid.). Rocamora: The 1945 Indonesian Constitution is one of the shortest and vaguest constitutions in the world. For example, two of the largest institutions in the country are Nadatul Ulama and Muama Dia. Food production per population was low and tended to decline in the early years of the century.
Therefore, before the liberalization of the South and national unification in 1975, agriculture in the North was collectivized. However, agricultural collectivization in the South took place in a different context than in the North 15 years earlier. These weaknesses were seen in the co-operative movement in the North in the early 1960s.
The increased rate of recession and crisis was directly proportional to the expansion of the cooperative model. In the beginning, establishing a cooperative was quite difficult, and the size had to be changed several times. Acceptance of the market price (purchase price of rice) shows that state pricing is not appropriate.
In Vietnam, the proportion of this industry was almost 50% in the early years of the 1990s. The agricultural policy reform is not separate from the comprehensive reform of the entire economy. In the expenditure structure of the State Budget capital, the investment for the agricultural sector accounted for only 8.6% in 1997 (see Table 25).
So the size of the land given to the farmers was very small.
