The Policy Coordination and Monitoring Division (PCMD) of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, Emerging Technology Research, and Development (PCIEERD) is looking for a result driven, analytical, detail oriented and resourceful individual to fill the vacancy for:
Science Research Specialist II (Permanent) PCIEERDB-SRAS2-19-2010
SG 16 – Php 38,150.00/mo
Qualification:
• Civil Service Professional Eligible or PRC Registered Professional;
• Must be a BS Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related courses;
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year relevant technical experience in Web development using PHP, HTML, CSS, ASP, Javacript/JQuery, and SQL statements in a Client-Server Environment;
• With at least four (4) hours relevant training;
• Knowledgeable in operational and procedural aspects of computer systems, hardware, software and peripheral equipment;
• Must be proficient in Laravel Framework;
• Knowledgeable in securing system applications, design, and deployment;
• Ability to resolve customer complaints/concerns and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel;
• Must be agile, team-player with professional IT ethics, good working attitude, commitment and dedication to the job;
• Result-oriented, analytical, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision; and
• Possesses good interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Job Description:
• Conducts system analysis and recommends systems interventions and appropriate technologies;
• Analyzes, designs, develops and secure application systems related to core business processes and operations of the Council;
• Configures and maintains appropriate web and database services for hosting of information systems and network access;
• Tests, enhances, maintains and implements developed application systems and keeps updated on the development tools and techniques;
• Helps in the preparation of relevant documents and provide technical support to computer systems users;

• Maintains proper coordination with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. end-users, contractors) and work with the IT team in the development of IT plans and in carrying out IT-related activities;
• Helps in the conduct of end-user's training;
• Maintains proper interaction with the users for their specific program needs and recommend solutions to customer concerns; and
• Performs other duties of a regular or special nature as assigned.
