The Industrial Technology Development Division (ITDD) of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, Emerging Technology Research, and Development (PCIEERD) is looking for a result driven, analytical, detail oriented and resourceful individual to fill the vacancy for:
Science Research Specialist II (Permanent) PCIEERDB-SRAS2-22-2010
SG 16 – Php 38,150/mo Qualification:
• Civil Service Professional Eligible or PRC Registered Professional;
• Must be a BS Degree Holder in Science, Engineering, or other related fields;
• With at least one (1) year of relevant experience in Industrial Technology;
• With at least four (4) hours of relevant training;
• Must be good in oral and written communication;
• Knowledgeable in preparation of presentation, spreadsheet, databases, data mining;
• Must be a team player with good working attitude, commitment and dedication;
• With excellent skills on people management;
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
Job Description:
• Formulates project designs and proposals for consideration and decision of the Council;
• Conducts investigation and evaluation on:
o New processes and products with socio-economic potential;
o Stage of technological development of such processes/products and the R&D technology necessary for their commercialization;
o Pertinent institutes or organizations both local and foreign with capabilities to perform Research and Development for the commercialization of identified new products/processes in the metals/minerals-based and engineering industries and the chemical/agro and forest products industries;
• Takes responsibility for coordination requirements within the agency and with other firms/agencies involved in research projects in the metals/minerals-based and engineering industries and the chemical/agro and forest product industries;
• Monitors progress of and prepare status reports on ongoing researches, indicating problems encountered or anticipated in such projects and interpreting significance of developments in the industrial community affected;
• Serves as team leader in field surveys and inter-office research activities;
• Performs other duties and functions that will be assigned from time to time.
