Report of the Faculty Regent
Other topics common to all the other campuses included a lack of topics, adjustment of lecturer and fee overload, and the current preparations for implementation of the K-12 program. He also conducted a series of consultations with the various high school principals regarding the proposed opening of the school year for UP High Schools in August. UPLB Rural High School actually proposed the idea of moving the end of classes in high schools to the beginning of May by shortening the semester break so that students can still enroll in other universities if they are unable to pass the UPCAT.
Faculty Regent Padilla is still gathering all other relevant information and analysis from the various high schools to submit to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Student Regent Macuha thanked the Office of the University Registrar and the President for acting on his request to clarify the UPIS announcement on the change in the academic calendar. President Pascual said the Chancellor's Office withdrew the previous announcement and clarified that the academic calendar of UPIS remains the same.

Students demand a student representative on all committees whose decisions will affect them. Macuha Student Regent thanked the President for the positive response to his request for an assessment of the academic calendar shift. President Pascual said the leadership of each campus is responsible for voicing concerns to the president, starting from the department head or institute director to the dean, the dean to the chancellor, and the chancellor to the president.
Vice President Zamora added that other developed countries have restrictions on the size of officials' offices. Regent Encanto believes that excellence in UP must start with the maintenance of infrastructure and the environment. President Pascual and the UP Diliman Chancellor already discussed the beautification of University Avenue.

UP BGC will be available to other colleges across various campuses of the University who are interested in making their master's programs accessible to the professionals in the Bonifacio Global City. The UP BGC will not be headed by a chancellor or a dean as it will serve as an extension of the various academic units that will offer programs at the facility. However, the College of Law Wing would be only part of the entire complex.
Vice President Zamora said that her office has already conducted a survey on units that would be interested in implementing programs at UP BGC. President Pascual responded that the socialized school system applies to students in the JD program at the School of Law, but not to those in the Master's programs. Student regent Macuha said the board can approve the provision that the business of UP BGC be handled by the property manager, but rule out the academic provision.

President Pascual informed the Board that UP Diliman plans to establish a Sports Development Office which will take care of the university's teams and is looking for the director of that office. He served as academic leader of the UP System as Vice President for Academic Affairs in the administration of President José Abueva, and he continues his. The Abad Awards for Poetry and Literary Criticism are open to all UP students and will be administered by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Department of English and Comparative Literature of the College of Arts and Letters.
Student Regent Macuha informed the Council that he was part of the Council that approved his own graduation last year. He appreciated that it was delegated to the President, subject to confirmation by the Board of Regents. Education support allowance of P15,000 for each of the qualified employees (faculty, REPS and administrative staff).

Faculty Regent Padilla clarified that these are plots within the campus that encroach on some academic areas of the university. Quilop from the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, UP Diliman, to the Department of National Defense Sciences and Philosophy, UP Diliman, to the Department of National Defense (DND), with effect from May 16, 2015 to May 15, 2016. Quilop requests that he may another year at the DND so he can continue and supervise programs and projects at the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Strategic Assessment (OASSA).
In cases where there was doubt about the process followed or about the fairness of the recommendations, the papers were returned to the relevant unit for review and recommendation. Regent Albarracin informed the board that when the 2016 budget proposal was discussed with the BOR finance committee, the committee recommended certain improvements, such as giving the source of money corresponding to the use of the money. That way, there is a connection between the use of the funds and the source of the funds for better appreciation.

Maria Inez Vasquez of the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs (OVPLA) gave the Board a summary of the facts of the case that led to the filing of a complaint by the victim with the Office Against Sexual Harassment (OASH). After the respondent's admission of committing the criminal offences, the Chancellor's Office issued a decision declaring the accused guilty of sexual harassment and imposed a sentence of one year suspension on the respondent student. Faculty Regent Padilla sought the minimum and maximum punishment for the violation under the applicable rules to understand the Chancellor's basis for the one-year suspension in lieu of expulsion.
OTHER MATTERS
The 1984 Toyota Cressida (plate no. PEP 876) is used by teachers and staff on official occasions. The Hino Tourist Bus (plate #SAS 747) is commonly used by various UP units for travel within Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The purchase of this vehicle is extremely necessary to fulfill the most important functions of the Institute.
Given the age of these vehicles, AIT incurs high repair and maintenance expenses due to high fuel consumption and frequent breakdowns. As a result, AIT urgently needs to acquire a new vehicle and finally condemn its existing vehicles in order to reduce maintenance repair and fuel expenses which will result in significant savings. Furthermore, the new vehicle will be an important resource in AIT's plan to host international conferences as part of its internationalization program.
Special Meeting of the Board to Discuss Policy Issues
Regent Gonzalez-Montinola proposed two matters to be discussed at the special meeting: (1) policy on professorial chairs, and (2) maintenance and upkeep of facilities.
