HEALTH AND NUTRITION

In addition, preparatory steps for the integration of CSE into the K-12 basic education curriculum have been completed. DM Interim Guidelines for the Delivery of Nutrition Services in the Context of the COVID 19 Pandemic The attention of health experts has been drawn to the fact that the Philippines has one of the fastest growing HIV/AIDS epidemics in the Asia-Pacific, with 13,384 cases in 2018 compared to 4,300 cases in 2010 (Joint UN Program on HIV-AIDS). .

To help raise awareness, DepEd has incorporated key concepts and messages for HIV prevention awareness and promotion in health education and in CSE of K-12 basic education.

Include transformation of gender norms that reinforce poor levels of nutrition among pregnant and lactating women and women of childbearing age. Build evidence on the prevalence and causes of mental health problems in women, as well as on the mediating and protective factors.

EDUCATION

Meanwhile, CHED reports that the GAD units of the Commission's 16 regional offices received a total of 64 cases of sexual harassment from 2015 to 2019. One of the reasons why girls often have less access to distance learning opportunities than boys is the already existing digital divide. Prolonged incarceration, economic stress on the family, and loss of the school support system can lead to psychosocial stress and mental health problems.

Findings on the negative impact of prolonged school closures and quarantine measures on girls' mental health are consistent across countries in the East Asia and Pacific region.

The allocation of space for livelihood activities also helps to make basic services available, which is a practical matter for women in the community. The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) is a government agency mandated to implement social housing programs that respond to the formal and informal sectors of the low-income population. Include holding orientation meetings on women's property rights in Housing and Resettlement Partnership Agreements with LGUs.

Collect and maintain gender disaggregated database across all housing related programs and administrative data from the KSAs to highlight gender issues and inequalities in the sector.

Recently, the Regional Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security (RAPWPS) was launched and efforts are underway to localize the plan at the provincial level in BARMM. The situation of women and girls in conflict-affected and conflict-vulnerable areas has been further exacerbated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has added another layer of vulnerability to them.

The Climate Change Commission (CCC) has led gender mainstreaming efforts on climate change through the development of the National Climate Change Action Plan, which has been converted into Local Climate Change Action Plans. In line with the requirements of the Climate Change Act, the Philippines' first Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) recognized the need to mainstream gender and development perspectives. A brief report was prepared on the current status of gender mainstreaming in climate change initiatives, which served as a basis for formulating strategies to integrate gender into sector agencies' NDC processes for climate change adaptation and mitigation. strengthen.

The General Strategic Outcomes of DRRM Chapter 9 have been modified and expanded to read as follows: Strengthening the resilience of women and girls to prepare for and respond to natural hazards and risks; increased protection from GBV during disasters; improved access to post-disaster assistance and resources; and increasing women's voice and leadership in DRRM and climate change action.

This was based on a national survey of the experiences of WFH public sector workers. The implementation and impact of all these initiatives must be evaluated and reported on in order to properly recognize the value they bring to women in the workplace. To address the limited participation of women in science, technology and innovation and in senior technical and management positions in the sector, the Science Education Institute (SEI) has adopted this vision: By 2025, SEI will be the leading GAD in STEM education.

How this GAD vision, especially its scholarship program for science and technology education, leads to a greater number of women practicing in the S & T field needs to be monitored and reported.

Ensure that STI and ICT (public and private) are equal opportunity employers with policies for the recruitment, promotion and continued development of women on an equal footing with men.

Address the barriers to women's access to higher level positions in the sectors by removing biases in the selection, hiring and promotion processes.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSPORTATION

These policies are all the more important now, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been shown to exacerbate gender inequalities around the world. Women micro-entrepreneurs in rural areas take advantage of farm-to-market routes to expand their markets. Qualitative assessments of the impact of these standards and guidelines on women and girls and other marginalized groups identified in the PKT will be important moving forward.

The priority outcomes remain the same: increased benefit and well-being of women and girls from infrastructure and transportation development; increased voice and representation of women stakeholders in identifying, designing, implementing and monitoring projects; improved capacity of duty bearers in the infrastructure and transport sectors to incorporate gender equality objectives into program design and implementation.
