May 20, 2020 Dear Parents, Greetings of Peace!
The Grade School Dance Festival is an annual activity sponsored by MAPEH Department and is one of the most awaited events in a school year. Here, Nursery 1- Grade 3 students showcase their talents in dancing and are given the opportunity to perform in front of a big crowd. This school year, the said festival was supposed to be held last February 14, 2020, as part of DLSL’s Foundation celebration. But, due to the eruption of the Taal Volcano and the declaration of the Luzon-wide Community Quarantine because of COVID-19 pandemic, classes and other related activities were suspended and that includes the Dance Festival. Hence, the distribution of the costumes which was originally set in the last week of March was also cancelled.
With this, we regret to inform you that we will no longer hold the Dance Festival as we cannot find any possibility of having it till next school year (20-21) due to limitations brought about the current situation. Thus, the previously availed costumes will be distributed as soon as the situation allows. Rest assured that we’ll still look for a possibility of using the costumes in one of our MAPEH activities next school year, whether through online or face to face.
Again, our sincerest apology for what had happened and we earnestly ask for your kind understanding on this matter. We do hope and expect for your continuous and untiring support in all our department’s, as well as the community’s, undertakings.
Know that we are one with you in praying that this pandemic will end the soonest possible time so that we can once again go back to our normal classroom setup with our dear students. Thank you and God Bless!
