It was envisaged that a catch quota and management plan could be developed for these two (2) species for further reporting to the RPOA-IUU Secretariat. Regarding DNA data collection for Indo-Pacific mackerel, Vietnam proposed Phu Quoc Island, Ha Tien, Ca Mau and Vung Tau Province as comparative study sites. For Neritic Tuna, the Assembly suggested that the catch quota should be set at a level lower than Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) for more efficiency in management practices.
