THE HOLY GOSPEL (Lk 19:41-44) The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke,
As he drew near to Jerusalem, Jesus saw the city and wept over it, saying, “if this day you only knew what makes for peace but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
Reflections:
Jerusalem is the city of God and site of the temple, the heart of Israel’s religion. Here, Jesus manifest his anguish at the certainty of the city’s destruction as a result of the people’s disobedience to God and rejection of the Messiah. The people rejected Jesus and they have freely chosen self-destruction.
Today’s gospel reminds us, what brings true place on our lives is Jesus himself. He brings the place of God, the place that comes from God by simply obeying to His will, and the peace that comes with being poor and meek.
Prayer:
Let us pra`y…
Heavenly Father, help us to find the real peace among nations, on our Lasallian community, on every home and every human heart. Amen.
St. John Baptist De La Salle…Pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts…Forever!

“Attendance at Mass also should lead to "the grace of feeling forgiven and able to forgive others," –Pope Francis.
“Some people wonder why they should bother going to church when the church is filled with people who sin like everyone else.
"In reality, those who participate in the Mass don't do so because they think or want to believe they are superior to others, but precisely because they know they are in need" of God's mercy,-Pope Francis

FROM THE OVCAD – INSTITUTIONAL HEALTH SERVICES:
Allergic rhinitis
Allergic rhinitis, often called allergies or hay fever, occurs when your immune system overreacts to particles in the air that you breathe—you are allergic to them. Your immune system attacks the particles in your body, causing symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose. The particles are called allergens, which simply mean they can cause an allergic reaction.
People with allergies usually have symptoms for many years. You may have symptoms often during the year, or just at certain times. You also may get other problems such as sinusitis and ear infections as a result of your allergies.
What are the symptoms of allergic rhinitis?
In most cases, when you have allergic rhinitis:
• You sneeze again and again, especially after you wake up in the morning.
• You have a runny nose and postnasal drip. The drainage from a runny nose caused by allergies is usually clear and thin. But it may become thicker and cloudy or yellowish if you get a nasal or sinus infection.
• Your eyes are watery and itchy.
• Your ears, nose, and throat are itchy.
Which allergens commonly cause allergic rhinitis?
You probably know that pollens from trees, grasses, and weeds cause allergic rhinitis. Many people have allergies to dust mites, animal dander, cockroaches, and mold as well. Things in the workplace, such as cereal grain, wood dust, chemicals, or lab animals, can also cause allergic rhinitis.
If you are allergic to pollens, you may have symptoms only at certain times of the year. If you are allergic to dust mites and indoor allergens, you may have symptoms all the time.
6. Get Educated About Alcohol and Drugs: You cannot rely on the myths and misconceptions that are out there floating around among your friends and on the internet. Your ability to make the right decisions includes getting educated. Visit and learn about alcohol and learn about drugs. And, as you learn, share what you are learning with your friends and your family.
7. Be a Role Model and Set a Positive Example: Don’t forget, what you do is more important than what you say! You are setting the foundation and direction for your life; where are you headed?
8. Plan Ahead: As you make plans for the party or going out with friends you need to plan ahead. You need to protect yourself and be smart. Don’t become a victim of someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Make sure that there is someone you can call, day or night, no matter what, if you need them. And, do the same for your friends.
9. Speak Out/Speak Up/Take Control: Take responsibility for your life, your health and your safety. Speak up about what alcohol and drugs are doing to your friends, your community and encourage others to do the same.
10. Get Help!: If you or someone you know is in trouble with alcohol or drugs, (What to Look For), get help. Don’t wait. You are not alone.
