Gendered Relations and Time-use

I am willing to put in much more effort than is normally expected to help ATI be successful. In terms of achieving goals in education and health, conditional money transfer programs are consistent with their intended developmental impacts. This article aims to analyze the gender relations within money transfer program households, focusing on the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Findings reveal that a) meeting program responsibilities has an impact on their household tasks, particularly in supporting children's education, and b) despite the transfers, gender and power dynamics within the household remain the same. Perspectives from Selected Households of Philippines’ Pantawid Pamilyang

Normative views on cash transfers see well-being as a result of the household's efforts. It is followed by a brief discussion of the theoretical framework and the empirical context for the research. Presentation of the data collection method follows, which mainly focuses on the qualitative approach to understanding time use and gender relations.

An analysis of the results is presented with an emphasis on the themes of field findings. Part of the household's co-responsibility is also the willingness to meet the conditions of the program. Due to the nature of the research design, the results of this study cannot be generalized to all beneficiaries of the cash transfer program.

One of the limitations of the study was the determination of the baseline in terms of paid work prior to membership in the cash transfer program. According to the policy, other members of the household could attend only twice on behalf of the beneficiaries (usually the mother). To discuss the interview findings, we turn to the conceptual framework of typologies of household power relations.

However, if we focus on women's ability to influence decisions ("power over") and their power to define and carry out their interests ("power within"), the transfer of money as a social protection strategy does not seem to to have made significant progress. While women can negotiate their time, men remain far removed from the gender expectations of the program and the household in general. Knowledge and Practices on Family Development of 4Ps Beneficiaries

The majority of topics discussed in family development sessions are related to disaster risk reduction and coping, according to 27% of respondents. Finally, it is important to note that the results showed almost 100% participation of households in the family development meetings under this program. This study focused on beneficiaries' perceptions of the family development component of the 4Ps program.

Interviews related to the family development component of the program were conducted among 169 4Ps beneficiaries based on the locality records. The high satisfaction of the respondents can be attributed to the relevance of the topics to their needs. However, it is important to note that 34% of the respondents did not understand well the topics discussed with them during the family development issues.

As of 2011, there were already 77,438 4Ps beneficiaries who have attended monthly family development sessions in the DSWD. The majority of respondents (69%) reported that they transferred learning from family development sessions about proper hygiene, health care, sanitation and other family development practices to their children (Table 7). The sessions were praised by the respondents because of the richness of the information conveyed.

The participation of the 4Ps beneficiaries in family development sessions should be required by the social and health workers as these sessions are very beneficial for the beneficiaries. Various methods of facilitating family development sessions can help increase the involvement of the beneficiaries. Multidimensional Approach in Identifying Best Practices and Initiatives for Organic

Based on the National Organic Agriculture Program, the OA sector in the Philippines is still in its early years. The Luna et al.
