1. Focus conduct of researches on commodity programs consistent with regional and national goals specifically on poverty alleviation and food security, global
competitiveness, frontier and cutting edge science sustainable development and
support allied services.2. generate, develop, verify and pilot priority technologies and agricultural enterprises that are economically feasible, socially acceptable and environmentally sound;
3. strengthen and establish linkages that brace research capabilities from the local agencies, private organizations, at the national, and if possible international level 4. continuously link with instruction and extension and encourage a synergetic relationship geared to the fulfillment of IFSU's VGMO; and, regularly monitor and evaluate researches to ensure proper implementation.
