The system would also include a reservation functionality whereby health card holders can reserve an available time slot online with the affiliated doctors for an appointment/consultation. The cardholder must register with the system to use the reservation functionality. The system's reservation functionality only allows reservations made within a period of 4-14 days before the desired schedule.
Daily automatic data pulling to refresh the bookings made on a hospital and a doctor under a certain health card can be considered as one improvement that can be done on the system in future studies. Pending bookings can be canceled at any time. . f) The system will not maintain a database of valid health card identification numbers. The system administrator will need to reassign the approved bookings (made on the doctors affected by the deletion process) to a nearby hospital.
It is also assumed that the system administrator checks every day for any pending bookings to be approved.

It is like an ATM card that holds a certain amount depending on the program where the holder's membership belongs. Instead of paying in cash, payment will be made in such a way that hospital and consultation fees will be charged to the card, depending on how much the card can cover. Since the system is web-based, the online reservation system can be available whenever a guest wants to make a reservation, and the chances of the reservation request being granted are greater when the guests have an immediate response.
Depending on the company running the systems, online reservation systems may have policies regarding payments, deposits, balance due dates, and cancellation penalties. Online reservation systems aim to make booking processes less time-consuming and more convenient, both for guests and management. It increases consumer satisfaction and allows people on the management side to easily track and manage their inventory.
SMS offers convenience especially on the part of the subscribers as it is flexible and it integrates messaging services and data access in a seamless manner.

Database can be further described as a repository of associated and recorded facts. a) Reservation – the written record or promise of an arrangement by which accommodation is secured in advance. The regular user can enter a particular health card and the system will display all its associated hospitals and/or clinics. By submitting the mentioned inputs, the system will display the associated doctors .. the user's preferred date for consultation. From the list of doctors, the user can select one and the system will display the doctor's schedule and available slots on the day specified by the user.
Upon successful login, the system administrator can make updates to his profile, thus with the user now able to make use of the booking function.

A sample page that displays the list of associated doctors after indicating the doctor's specialty and preferred consultation date is shown in Figure 24. If the user has entered the correct booking code, the system will display the booking details. If the system administrator continues to update the information, he will be prompted to add a health card office outside the hospital.
On this page, the system administrator can modify the information about the office or delete the office. On the page that displays the list of connected doctors, the system administrator can view and edit the doctor's schedule, edit the doctor's information or delete the doctor from the database. A sample of the presentation of the doctor's schedule on the side of the system administrator is shown in figure 44.
The page where the system administrator will be navigated after entering the necessary parameters to view the list of pending reservations is illustrated in Figure 47.

The system administrator can add another health card, and another set of hospital and clinics and doctors for this health card. The system contains a list of hospitals and doctors affiliated with the health cards included in the system. The user can select one health card, one hospital under the health card and one doctor under the hospital and health card of his choice.
With the reservation function of the system, cardholders are guaranteed entertainment the moment they arrive at the clinic (according to a certain schedule). The steps for booking an appointment will be carried out in this way: first, the user must select a health card. When he clicks on a particular health card, he will be redirected to a page that will display the list of affiliated hospitals of the health card.
The user will again be asked to select one from this list and on clicking on a particular hospital, he will be navigated to a page that will ask him to enter his preferred date .. of consultation and medical specialization chosen by his. After submitting the data, the system will display the list of doctors associated with the hospital, who specialize in the specified field and have a schedule on the date that the user has entered. By clicking on the code in front of the doctor of his choice, the user will be able to check the doctor's available hours on his preferred consultation date.
The user can choose to continue with the date he has entered and select one from the list of available time slots or enter a different date. All updates, any control of the system can only be managed by the system administrator. From this I can say that the disadvantages of the system are more on the side of the system administrator.
In addition, the process of notifying the physician of his approved bookings is done manually. In general, the capabilities of the system can be summarized as follows: 1) Provide a list of linkages between the health card, hospital and doctor, 2) It allows the registered user to book an available appointment with their desired consultation/appointment date online and ahead of time.
