I. STATEMENT OF THE POLICY
This policy shall serve as a guide for Testing of Asymptomatic High Risk Frontliners Post COVID Duty Quarantine and Home Quarantine Health Care Personnel prior to Return to Work.
II. POLICY GUIDELINES
1. All asymptomatic personnel shall undergo rapid antibody-based testing after their quarantine, prior to resumption of duty.
1.1 Post COVID duty personnel - on 7th day of quarantine for doctors, on 5th day for nurses and as scheduled for other medical personnel with exposure in COVID areas.
1.2 Post Home quarantine personnel - after 14 days of quarantine.
2. Asymptomatic high risk frontliners will be tested.
3. These personnel will be tested at the division of pathology/laboratory.
3.1 Testing shall be based on appointment-basis only.
3.2 Testing shall be conducted daily at 8:00AM – 12:00NN only.
3.3 All personnel shall accomplish a contract tracing form prior to blood extraction.
4. Official list of personnel for testing shall be submitted by the Safety officer of the Incident Command Post to the Division Pathology/laboratory.
5. Serological test results summary shall be submitted to the Safety Officer and Infirmary Section by the Division of Pathology/laboratory.
6. Results shall be interpreted as follows:
6.1 If Total Antibody Test (Wantai) result is Negative (-), this is considered a Non- COVID-19 Case and the Personnel should secure clearance from the Infirmary Clinic prior to return to work.
6.2 If Total Antibody Test (Wantai) result is Positive (+), this is considered a Probable COVID-19 Case and a Rapid IgG/IgM Detection (Hightop) shall be

performed by the Medical Technologist on the same blood sample collected from the personnel.
6.3 If both IgM are Negative (-), this is considered an Non-COVID-19 Case. The Personnel should secure clearance from the Infirmary Clinic prior to return to work.
6.4 If the IgG and/or IgM antibody are/is Positive (+), this is suggestive of Probable COVID-19 Case. The Personnel shall be swabbed for Rapid RT- PCR. A repeat RT-PCR may not be done if personnel was swabbed less than 14 days prior to the Total Antibody Testing (Wantai).
6.5 If RT-PCR test is Negative (-), this is considered Recovered Probable COVID-19 Case. The Personnel is required to complete quarantine for 14 days post duty then secure clearance from the Infirmary Clinic prior to return to work.

6.6 If RT-PCR test is Positive (+), this is considered Confirmed COVID-19 Case. The Personnel is referred to COVID ER Triage for further evaluation and possible admission or strict home quarantine.
7. OPS/NPS PCR shall be made the same day if serologic testing is positive.
8. Results of the PCR swabs should be forwarded to the Safety Officer of Incident Command Post. Subsequent plans should be based on existing policies and recommendations.
