enhancements undertakenby
the school heads and teachers regarding the 2012NAT
among thetop
performing public secondary schools in the Division of Tarlac Province.The descriptive method of research was used. The top ten (10) performing public secondary schools where ten

school head respondents andsixty six (66)
teacher respondents who taught English,Filipino,
Science, Mathematics and Araling Panlipunan in the Fourth Year were the respondents of the study.Findings revealed
that
amongthe
supervisory instructional practicesof
school headson knowledge, skills and
attitudeswere
checking lessonplans and
grving suggestions for improvement, conducting and supervising mockNAT
and conducting In- Service Training. Instructional practicesof
teachers on knowledge,skills
and attitudes were the preparationof
lesson plans or loggingin,
monitoring sfudents' attendance and attending school INSET's, training and seminar workshops.iv There was a significant
relationship betweenthe
supervisory instructional practices on skills and the over-allNAT
Mean Percentage Scores of students since school headsdo not
havea direct
contactwith the
students. Therewas also a
significant relationship between teachers' instnrctional practiceson skills and
students'NAT
performance since teachers have a direct contactwith
the students. The more skills they executed the higher student performance was. The problems sometimes encounteredby the
respondentswere insufficient NAT
reviewersfor the
students and mismatchof
commercial
NAT
reviewers.Enhancements
