BiotechJP donated their products to PGH. Their low protein rice ECHIGO has been proven to improve the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients.

Their low glycemic rice GOHAN LITE which bulked up the fiber with less absorbable sugars, has also been acknowledged to allow patients with diabetes or

hypertension to continue enjoying staple food.

Sanduguan Call for Blood

Donations

Sanduguan is a series of mass blood donations organized by the UP Manila University Student Council (USC), UP Medicine Student Council (MSC), UP PGH Blood Bank Service, and various student councils, organizations, and alliances.

This effort aims to address the shortage of blood products in PGH brought about by travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially as the hospital transitions to normal operations.

This means that the number of surgical procedures and patient admissions are expected to rise back to pre-COVID-19 levels, and therefore considerably increasing demand at a time when stocks of blood products have dropped

donation drive for UP Manila student dormers who do not have financial sustenance during this Covid-19 Pandemic. A sign-up form for those who need help during this time was prepared and interviews were conducted to ensure that help will be given to those who need it the most.
