NEW NORMAL POLICIES AND GUIDELINES IN THE DELIVERY OF LIBRARY SERVICES
The pandemic has never prevented the delivery of library programs and services, this school year 2020-2021, the WVSU- Janiuay Campus Library is presently engaged in full-time
preparation for its services in the new normal which is complementing with the remote delivery of instruction. The following are the guidelines for its various services:
Online Library User-Education
This service includes library orientation, online database tutorials, and specialized instruction. The online library orientation is much needed at this time to acquaint the faculty members and students on the Library’s guide to new normal most especially on the access and use of electronic resources. This service is open to all the departments and or schools in
preparation for the upcoming academic year in which the “blended learning” will be implemented in the University. The school directors can request for an orientation schedule.
Currently, faculty members are attending online Library Orientation on the use of E-Books which is being conducted by the Librarian. Moreover, by the start of the academic year, the Librarian conducts an orientation for all freshman students to acquaint them with the new normal Library services.
Ask a Librarian
Those who have questions may ask a Librarian/Library Staff for assistance via email, phone, or live-chat. The librarian sees to it that all concerns are immediately addressed if not, the
concerns are being brought up to the campus key officials for appropriate action.
Current Awareness
The Library informs its patrons of the new acquisitions through its website and social media accounts.( website at www.janiuay.wvsu.edu.ph and social media accounts: Facebook Account (JACILA, Wvsujaniuaycampus Library, WVSU-Jc Library).
Online Document Delivery
Currently, the enrolled students and employees of WVSU are eligible to avail of this service.
Online Document Delivery sends documents such as scanned articles from journals, downloaded articles from e-journals, a chapter of books, and research/theses abstracts available in WVSU- Janiuay Campus Library based on information and research topics needed subject to relevant conservation approval and copyright permission. These documents requested will be sent electronically through email. To avail of this online service, one has to chat, call or text the Librarian/Library Staff. A maximum of two (2) requests/queries shall be accommodated per day.
Suggest a Purchase
The students, faculty and staff can make suggestions to update the library collection by sending preferred library materials for purchase. The acquisition of e-resources will be prioritized based on the existing needs and availability of the budget. However, print and non-print materials may still be recommended.
Borrowing of Library Materials
Administrators, academic officials, faculty members and support staff may check-out library materials personally. Health and safety protocols must be observe.

Returning of Library Materials
Library materials may be returned by the faculty and staff but they must observe health and safety protocol. The Library has started the dissemination of the above information through its website and social media accounts.
The WVSU-Janiuay Campus Library will always remain engaged, connected, and committed to supporting the information needs of its clientele.
