Classify as either a homogeneous mixture or heterogeneous mixture.
Heterogeneous Mixtures are not the same throughout or consist of two or more phases. If you can divide something so that it is different on one side, it is a heterogeneous mixture.
A pepperoni pizza can be divided so that there are more pepperonis on one side than the other. An example of a heterogeneous mixture that contains more than one phase is ice water.
Homogeneous Mixtures are the same throughout and consist of only one phase.
Solutions such as salt water (NaCl in water) in which the salt is evenly dissolved are homogeneous mixtures.
