Table 4.1 is created to provide the better understanding of the characteristics of each participant and aimed to quote their statements from the transcript sheets easily for the readers. The code is created based on their choice of medical tourism destination and followed by other characteristics of the participants respectively. The identification of each code is as follows.
T – For the participant who chose Thailand as medical tourism destination S – For the participant who chose Singapore as medical tourism destination I – For the participant who chose India as medical tourism destination M – For the participant who chose Malaysia as medial tourism destination K – For the participant who chose Korea as medical tourism destination

Table 4.2 presents the age group of the participants which are divided into three groups respectively. First group includes the participants aged 20 to 30 years old
which is 10 participant (33.33%) and the second group is for the participants aged from 31 to 50 years old which is 15 participants (50%). The last group includes the participants aged from 51 years old and above which is 5 participants (16.67%).

Table 4.3 shows that the majority of the participant (63.33%) in this study are female which is 11 in number and the rest 19 participants are male which is 36.67%

Table 4.4 presents that 18 out of 30 participants are single and the rest 12 participants are married which represents 60% as single and 40% as married respectively.

Table 4.5 displays that most of the participants hold the bachelor degree which is 26 in number (86.67%) and the rest 4 participants in this study are master degree holder which is 13.33% of total participant.

Table 4.6 represents the data that 17 participants (56.67%) have their own businesses, 8 participants (26.67%) work at private company and the rest 5 participants (16.67%) are government officers.

Table 4.7 categorizes the data regarding to choice of destination country that 16 participants (53.33%) went to Thailand as medical tourist, 10 participants (33.33%) to Singapore and 2 participants (6.67%) to India. One participant (3.33%) went to Malaysia and the rest participant (3.33%) went to Korea.

In this data, their purpose of visit is categorized into three groups as mentioned earlier in Chapter 1 which are non-surgical treatment, non-cosmetic surgical
treatment and cosmetic surgical treatment. The table 4.8. explains the number of participants for each category where 43.33% of the participants went to seek non- surgical treatment, 46.67% for non-cosmetic surgical treatment and the rest 10%
obtained cosmetic surgical treatment.

Table 4.9 represents the date on the frequency of visit by the participants where 60% of the participants which 18 people out of 30 told that it was their first visit as medical tourist and the rest 40% went for their follow-up visits to continue getting medical treatments.
These all statistical data are to deliver the proper understanding of the characteristics of the participants in this study where there is no limitation on the features of the participants. The sole similarity of the participants is to be Myanmar citizens residing within the country who have an experience as outbound Myanmar medical tourist at least once at the time of the interview.
