Abstract:
Utilizing Decagon Mini-Disk Infiltrometers (2.0 cm suction), Introductory Soil Science students determine the hydraulic conductivity and cumulative infiltration versus time for different textured soils. We also impose several treatments on the soils to determine their effects on hydraulic conductivity. This laboratory exercise aids student understanding of how soil properties affect hydraulic processes.
