Mahasarakham University has approved acceptance of this dissertation in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Music. The three research objectives of the thesis are: 1. To develop a clarinet curriculum using Chinese folk songs. I have successfully created a Chinese folk song curriculum for clarinet based on the preferences of Thai students and the forms and types of Chinese folk songs.

Therefore, using Chinese folk songs to teach clarinet to Thai students is very helpful in improving Thai students' clarinet performance level.

Apply cork grease to the cork parts of the clarinet before putting them together. First of all, breathing when playing the clarinet refers to the breathing activities of the player himself. Chinese folk songs have a multi-thousand-year history of accumulation, which is the result of the joint creation of all ethnic groups.

Both the northern folk songs and the southern folk songs are the oral poetry creation of the working people. Most of the melodies of Chinese folk songs are based on or based on the pentatonic mode. At the same time, national anthems are the foundation of the development of national music.

I chose two representative Chinese folk songs, namely the famous folk song "Jasmine" in southern China and the famous folk song "San Shi Li Pu" in northern China, and designed a teaching plan for six weeks and one hour per week. After creating the teaching plan, teaching evaluation form and student satisfaction questionnaire, I submitted it to the review team consisting of Assistant Professor Sayam Chuangprakhon, Associate Professor Wiboon Trakulhun, Assistant Professor Narongruch Woramitmaitree, Assistant Professor Khomkrich Karin for review and revision. For the first research objective, I first created a curriculum based on Dave's theory and using the methods of literature research and video research.

In the second objective, I evaluated the experimental students who participated in the course plan after the field teaching of the course. In the third research objective, I had the experimental students who participated in this course plan evaluate their satisfaction with my teaching plan.

Create a teaching plan of clarinet by using Chinese folk songs

In the third and fifth grades, I changed the musical score in advance and added many details. Then play the original music again and distribute the detailed music score to the students. Have them look at the adapted score, understand the song better, and ask students to think about the musical form, structure, and emotion of the score.

In the last lesson I choose to use the original song, which allows me to best restore the song itself for the students to imitate. In the first lesson, I randomly selected some excerpts of Chinese folk songs for the students to practice. After distributing the revised musical score to the students, I had the students practice word by word, and then let them practice on their own.

In the second lesson, I told the students about the meaning of the lyrics and songs of the Chinese folk song Jasmine, and summarized that the song is a typical Chinese Jiangnan minor. In the third lesson, I asked students to master the euphemistic notes and rhythm of the song according to the adapted music score. In fourth grade, I told the students about the meaning of the words and songs of the Chinese national anthem "SanShiLiPu".

In the fifth hour, to make the students understand the emotion of the song more accurately, I explained the meaning of the text to the students. In the last hour, I did a systematic evaluation of two Chinese folk songs played by the students.

Evaluate a set of Chinese folk song Lesson plan of clarinet

At the same time, it also makes it play quieter and the timbre softer and more pleasant to listen to. Two students will know the result faster, while one of the students will be a little slower. The improvement of the three students is evident and they can recognize each note accurately.

The rhythm of the three students is very messy, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, without a basic sense of rhythm. Student B is a little better among the three of them because of her habit of using metronomes. From the beginning, the basic rhythm is not accurate, and later they can make adjustments according to the emotional changes of the song.

The three students did not have much understanding about the emotional expression when playing the clarinet. They only knew how to play the clarinet step by step according to the notes on the score without emotion. This is because they do not have the habit of deeply understanding the music before playing, and do not know the creative background and meaning of the music, so they cannot understand the emotion expressed by the music. .

After the lesson, they will also listen to the master's singing or instrumental performance on their own initiative in order to experience their emotions. In the final solo process, Student B progressed from having no emotional ups and downs before to being able to play emotional changes in some of the recordings he knew; Student A can make appropriate emotional changes based on the scores on my corrected score; Student B can not only make appropriate emotional changes according to the marks on my revised score, but also add some understanding.

Conclusion, Discussion and Suggestions

Conclusion

This article takes the first-year student clarinet major at the Conservatory of Music at Mahasarakham University in Thailand as a research object, takes Chinese folk songs as a starting point, chooses a folk song in the south and a folk song in the north of China as examples, makes the curriculum teaching plans, implements the teaching and makes curriculum evaluation and the students' feedback after the lesson. I found that Thai students are very fond of folk songs and I am familiar with Chinese folk songs. At the same time, Chinese folk songs make it easier for students to play their emotions when playing, so as to improve students' performance.

The conclusion is that various students made different degrees of progress in playing specification, notes, rhythm, emotion and so on. The conclusion is that the students scored 4 to 5 points for the satisfaction of other content of the course, except that they unanimously scored only 3 points for their own clarinet solo satisfaction due to stress and other factors. It shows that this teaching plan can improve their performance, and they are also very satisfied with my teaching.

Discussion

Individual students occasionally have difficulty with notes and rhythm and need to practice often. Because China and Thailand are similar in culture and customs, Chinese folk songs are chosen as the subject repertoire in this study. The reason why the general feedback of students in this research subject is very good and they can learn and understand is mainly because this curriculum is divided into five steps according to Dave's theory, so that students can gradually learn more firmly and they understand.
