EDITORIAL

Thai Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (TJOG) has been awarded by Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) to be grouped in Journal Group 1 since the end of this May. Journals in this group will be selected to the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) in the future. TJOG has been approved as Journal Group 1 until 31 December 2019.

The next aim of TJOG is to apply to be recruited in the larger journal databases such as, Scopus, ISI Web of Science and PubMed, respectively. Firstly, TJOG will apply to the Scopus. Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources with smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research – and it incorporates into researchers’ workflow seamlessly. Essential criteria for inclusion in Scopus include the following:

1. A title must have an English-language title and publish English-language abstracts of all research articles. However, full-text articles can be in any language.

2. Timely publication of issues, with a minimum of one issue per year, is required.

3. Overall quality must be high.

4. The international recognition of the leading editors.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all authors, all members of the editorial board, all peer reviewers and editorial office staffs who work very hard in the past few years. Their efforts can improve the quality of TJOG significantly.
