In addition, I would like to express my gratitude to the Life Skills Development Autistic Person Centers in Thailand of all provinces, who provided valuable insight information to generate this thematic paper. EXPLORING THE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT OF LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OF AUTISTIC PERSON CENTER IN THAILAND ARISA SHIMIZU 6149167. Currently, the knowledge management process becomes a critical tool in every organization that affects the organization's success.
This thematic paper will examine how knowledge management directly affects the implementation of the center, the support center for the disabled. The main findings of this study indicate that the knowledge management process has a significant positive relationship with the organizational success, which is consistent with the knowledge management system theory.
INTRODUCTION 1
Background 1
However, the relationship between knowledge management and the success of centers in Thailand remains a puzzling issue as there is no previous empirical work that studies this relationship. Therefore, this study will focus on investigating the relationship between knowledge management and the success of life skills developing autistic centers in Thailand. In addition, the centers still lack the appropriate standards for knowledge management which are important and affect the success of the organization.
How knowledge management affects the achievement of life skills development centers for autistic people in Thailand. The objective of this thematic paper is to investigate how knowledge management has a direct impact on center performance. This thematic paper focuses on the study of knowledge management, which significantly influences the success of life skills development centers for autistic people in Thailand.
It consists of the centers of Pathumtani Province, Chonburi Province, Prachinburi Province, Sisaket Province, Phitsanulok Province, Phangnga Province and Trang Province. In this chapter, a general overview of the literature is provided, together with the most influential empirical evidence related to the literature.
Theoretical Literature 4
The literature review begins with the theoretical literature on knowledge management, and then moves on to the empirical evidence and conceptual framework. To be more specific, knowledge management is a method that concentrates on the flow of knowledge and the process of creating, sharing and distributing knowledge (Alavi and Leidner, 2001). Knowledge transfer is one of an area of knowledge management that concerns the movement of knowledge across the boundaries created by particular knowledge domains (Carlier and Rebentish, 2003).
The aim of this thematic paper is to explore the relationship between knowledge management and success of the centres. There are many previous empirical works on the impact between knowledge management and organizational success in a number of countries. According to Cantu and Mandragon (2016), they study about the knowledge management in non-profit organizations in Mexico.
The results show that knowledge management can be a useful and relevant strategy for the Mexican non-profit organizations. With regard to the above literature and empirical evidence, Figure 2.1 hypothesized the factors that influence the success of the centers.
Sampling design 9
In relation to the knowledge management process, there are three main segments of questions that this thematic paper will examine the factors that have a significant impact on the achievement of the center. Put the right man on the right job to lighten the workload, it is really useful for the centre”. After the volunteer staff have attended those knowledge creation activities as mentioned above, they should propagate or transfer the knowledge to their colleagues when they come back to the center.
Second, one to one coaching activity is a specific coaching for the new volunteer staff before giving them the opportunity to teach autistic children in the center. Nevertheless, there are 3 managers from 7 managers who experience the knowledge application failure among their volunteer employees. The center will not achieve its goals if we operate without knowledge management and good teamwork”.
There are different perspectives that the interviewees define the meaning of the center's success. First, there is only one main vision of the success of the center that 16 interviewees describe in the same definition which is "the evolution of their autistic children". The skill and expertise of our volunteer staff is the main success for the center".
In addition, there are two decisive factors that also lead to the achievement of the center, including the teamwork skills of volunteer staff and the supported budget from both the public and private sectors. The aim of this thematic paper was to explore how knowledge management has a direct impact on the achievement of the centre. From this study's finding, it is implied that the knowledge management has a direct impact on the achievement of the centre.
The result of the knowledge management process operating in the center is given in table 5.1 below. Based on the information mentioned above for the success of the center, there is one main practical recommendation to increase the chances of success. At the management level, the manager must follow the new policy of the center as stated in the previous paragraph.
Next, the manager must provide the knowledge storage system to allow the volunteer staff to collect and. Additionally, volunteer staff should name the manual and collect all manuals in the storage system provided. These activities will support the skills and abilities of the volunteer staff to have continuous development, because the skills of the staff also reflect the skills of the center.
Finally, in this study, there is only one indicator of the center's performance measure, namely the knowledge management process.
